Bassnectar anyone?

Just saw him last month at on Governor's Island in NYC for his Bass Island event. It was the greatest set I've ever seen, and the light show and sound system were the best I've seen/heard ever. I've now seen him 7 different times from 2007-2011 and this was probably my favorite show I've seen with the summer of '08 show in a close second. It was life changing for sure. Next up is Bass Center IV in D.C. and then Bassnectar/Pretty Lights two day event in Atlanta with Big Gigantic, Beats Antique, Bonobo, and Superdre. Sounds like freakin' heaven to me!
 
I saw Bassnectar throw down at north coast music fest 2 nights ago. I just don't even know which of his shows I like the most. Every time it is either just as good or better than the previous one. I wasn't on any drugs and had the time of my life. Lorin NEVER dissapoints. He is the best in the business.

I agree his shows are always different saw him at summercamp.. fucking amazing saw him at north coast fucking awesome. he knows how to get the crowd going. North Coast is must go to festival.
 
North coast is very very awesome. Been there both years. Awesome lineup for a second year festival and those guys just know how to put on a festival, man. Free water bottles for everybody, CTA buses to cool off in, and a silent disco. I will definitely be going to NCMF as long as it is around.
 
I think the new album is best heard live. His tracks are made for lyrics from mainstream songs, which he plays on top of them live. Obviously he can't release the album with them due to copyright, but live he can mix whatever he wants. It makes a huge difference. I agree the new album isn't that good, until you hear all the tracks in a live set with the lyrics mixed over them - then it is incredible. I really only like one track on the album without the live set effect (Rollz).

For anyone that hasn't seen it, someone recorded and posted his ENTIRE Electric Forest set in HD on youtube. never really listened to or heard of bass nectar until edc 2011 vegas - wow i was in awe with his performance hardcore BADD ASS he was awesome live! I told people for weeks about that dude it was so awesome!

Bassnectar got a really great slot in EDC. I remember checking him out for the first time there too, because the only other good set was High Contrast at that time slot. It was 100x better than when I listened to him on my computer.
 
Fuck yes! The first I heard Bassnectar was at Melbourne's Big Day Out In January, live and with a few thousand people going nuts, it was fucking amazing and I've been obsessed since then.
 
I tripped acid at that same show. It was incredible, at one point I thought this guy trying to sell me some liquid was like a manifestation of the acid revealing itself to me and I was all "im missing out on a opportunity for enlightenment cuz im not accepting his offer." it was dope. I realized a few minutes later what was going on but for a while there, I was all ...
woah! So, u seeing him in april? I have a ticket for satruday.
 
Saw him at Bass Center V in Philadelphia on 4/20...fucking life-changing. There were so many highlights but when he dropped Carried Away and I Am A Laser I went nuts!

Next up, Bass Center VI in Seattle on 5/12

Then, Red Rocks two night show 6/1 and 6/2

Then, Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, MI 6/28-7/01

It's about to be a nectar filled spring/summer =D
 
Ive officially lost all faith in Bassnectar. I cant stand his new music.

How I long for the days of Underground Communication.
 
I'm gonna see him on Thursday. Literally right after I finish my last final. Then down to socal for two weeks :)
 
Yea id def agree his latest albums have had many tracks that were not so good, but he still puts on a amazing show everytime~
