Dear Mr Bluelight

Thankyou for giving us a new smiley. Its arrival has been met with an excitement that borders on reverence.

Please could our next arrival be a :P smiley that means :P and not :p like what the rest of the world do 8)

Our emoticon vocabulary has 11 different flavours of dysphoria and only 6 flavours of euphoria. And one that goes either way.

Equal rights for emoticons IMO

;p is the bestest smilie ever, and it's mine [it winks n sticks out its tongue]

although, I do highly covet a kissing smilie. we needz one .. old skool style, so the mouth moves n stuff

you don't need a visual representation to project what's in y0 <3 . .... youuu know whatever it is means ..

what's the movement I read about that was anti-capital letters ( because most of them are unnecessary and don't make sense?) ... it kind of made sense to me, and possibly was part of the beat movement?

just googled and couldn't find

godamnj00, I thought you were posting a link about the anti-capital thing I mentioned! ... I have faith that you'd know

and the 1st one would be a good version of ;p .... it needs adding to the options quick smartish

I'm down with that. CHURCH OF :sus:

The new emoticon is like a surprise guest emerging in the Big Brother house, and infinitely more welcome / charming / good looking / intelligent / worth celebrating.

The former alpha emote =D looks ecstatic to see the new guy but wants to get rid of him already.

if it had the animated bug eyes I might have been impressed!

EDIT OK it's pretty fucking cool without them but that would have been the coup de grâce.

As a proper grammar Nazi, I can't believe this! What about acronyms and names? Starting a sentence with a capital letter is the first thing you learn, in English. (Not digging at anyone that can't be bothered - it's only BL) It's like when I read about the apostrophe possibly not being used, in years to come. Madness!

not really. it's madness that you must start a sentence with a capital. there's absolutely no reason for it unless it's a noun etc and capitalised for a different reason. a full stop does the job already. or a new paragraph. a word being capitalised purely due to being at the start of a sentence is just silly and unnecessary.

eh, main thing is, just because it's the first thing you learn in english, doesn't mean it either makes sense, or has a valid function anymore. in the case of not needing capitalisation at the begining of a sentence, someone somewhere had a point. i just wish i could remember their name. could've sworn it was one of the beat crowd, like Burroughs or someone

meh, I shouldn't be up. but I just woke myself up by slapping my arm hard in my sleep after dreaming about a spider landing on me after my brother swung one (that was dangling from a long web), in my direction. then when i woke, i carried on with the whole,'urgh, urgh, there's a spider!' dance in bed, in the dark, until i was convinced it wasn't there.

cheers bro :(

What a load of fucking nonsense. Why don't we start dropping unnecessary apostrophes then? Why put an apostrophe in "don't"? The fact that it says "dont" already shows that there are letters missing. Why don't we start spelling like Americans? What's the point in having a U in colour? etc etc etc.
