I suffer severe social anxiety, I've tried SSRI's and numerous other anti-depresants and the negative side effects always seem to outweigh the positive effects. Valium, worked for a while but my tolerance built quickly and I was running through a months supply in weeks and eventually the doctor took me off it. The only benzo that seemed to help is Clonazapam. I've talked to physoclogists and GP's about it but they say it's not an option for me.
I excersize regularly and eat healthy food. I've seen physologists but it just seems to go nowhere.
I've read numerous reports of Clonazapam being the most commonly presrcibed Anxiety medication in the States as it is less harmful then Xanax. I don't understand why it isn't used here?
I can source Clonazapam for myself quite easily, I just worry about the long-term effects. Say if I was using 2mg maybe 3-4 times a weeks for a long-term.
I'm at the point where I can't keep a job, my famly contsantly worry about me and I make excuses for not going out to see my friends. It seems the only time I am happy, open up to people and to be able to live a full life is on Clonazapam. Is this wrong?
