My background is below. My question is that I'm now tempted to try the Psychotria viridis (chacruna) and Diplopterys cabrerana(chaliponga) with DMT in it that I have from a while ago. The only MAOI I have is seligline and I'm wondering if anyone has tried it with this and if it has worked. Previously I have tried a Ayahuasca brew before (with harmaline) and had a light DMT experience: my psychedelic experience was more like an oil painting and sunnier. I don't like to smoke stuff so it has be a brew. My worry is that seligline is a MAO-B inhibitor ibut I don't see a reason why it should work even though the harmaline compounds are MAO-A inhibitors. If I take make a brew of these two plants (I have about 2 grams worth total) and then take it with seligline will the DMT experience come through or will it be wasted?
As an intense kind of person I've had a tendency in my life to explore one aspect of something and sometimes excel at it (fortunately I seem to be able to complete projects, not all of them but way more than enough so that I'm not just dabbling in too many things) and then move on to something else. As an academic, I can just say "learning" and then everything is accessible to me.
I've also explored psychedelics and mood altering drugs in the same manner. I usually intensely use one substance for a while and then move on. I've never had problems with this except for alcohol which was a mistake that I realised only on my recent intense DXM trip (I was actually trying to explore my psyche with alcohol and while it may have had some limited effect initially that soon went away as the physical addiction developed). I made it to the third plateau and perhaps sigma also since I redosed about 8 times over one week and always twice with hash oil (only one day were the third plateau doses that seemed to really go beyond most third plateau descriptions and had elements of the plateau sigma in it as per the DXM FAQ.
