Ok i'm coming off a 18 month binge. i plan to taper down with the H and when i run out and when the withdrawals kick in pop a 2mg bupe.....
If you're coming off a binge, 2mg bube at any time will most definitely have any (or very little) help with your WD unfortunately.
I do want to say, if you are
serious about getting off the gear there's many people on here (myself included. Happy to help/advice!) who can steer you in the right direction! Tbh (and of course take my advice/experience with what you will

) other drugs such as benzos generally don't help/deal with the problem well. Not if one is serious about quitting.
However as others have said, there's no way to get off it without feeling some discomfort - fact, deal.
I've seen it and tbh would recommend a bupe (even, and this maybe a personal choice, over 'done!) program. Having said that, even with bupe you
will experience WD somewhat. In fact - due to how the program and combination of buprenorphine/naloxone work - in order to even go on a bupe program you must put yourself into a state of withdrawal**! The main reason for this is otherwise, the bupe/nalox combo, once taken will
put you into that state - it's actually called
precipitated withdrawal - and can actually be worst the "naturally" putting yourself there.
.....
I'm surprised/jealous your heroin wd lasts only 2 days for you though.
......
Even now it surprises me the extent natural bio-variability people experience things from person to person. As most people would attest to though, it's not the physical addiction which is generally the problem.

sad.
** When I say "put yourself there", I don't mean to the point of hospitalisation or the like. Actually when entering the program your assigned nurse will go through the specifics.
