They are essentially the same drug, heroin is an ester salt of morphine and a morphine prodrug. It quickly converts to morphine as soon as it crosses the BBB, even heroin's other very, very minor metabolite 6MAM is quickly converted to morphine in the brain. Heroins real name is "morphine diacetate" or also called "diacetylmorphine". Doing heroin is essentially doing a faster-acting form of morphine, as morphine is totally responsible for the high.

True, that's why I'd go with morphine, I don't want anything that's faster acting, morphine is short acting enough as it is.

Really?? I always found heroin, even when injected was pretty damn long acting compared to oxy. It's similar to oxymorphone in terms of legs, but I find quality dope to be more euphoric.

My reasons aren't because morphine is more euphoric, it's not. I just don't mind the much less addictive morphine experience compared to heroin.

There is no proof that heroin is more addictive compared to heroin, on the contrary, there are studies which state that their respective dependence liability is identical.
