I've tried getting into The Wire many times, but I can never get past the first episode :\ For me it just alternates between boring and depressing...I'll stick to Breaking Bad for my drug-related megadramas. It blew my mind when I found out the main character in Breaking Bad is Hal from Malcom in the Middle. Mennttaallll!

Its a beautiful day here today, when the sun shines I always feel so much better and makes me want to get out and do something.
You can't beat sitting in a nice beer garden on a hot summers day, roll on summer cos I am waiting.

Berlin is beautiful, as is the rest of Germany. Be sure to travel out at least once to see some more of the country. I never realised how backward and underdeveloped Britain really was until I spent 3 weeks living with a German family. Cleanest & friendliest country ever :)

hope you've all had a good day :) not long got home from work, was another good day, went smoothly and easy. feeling spot on, think all the healthy eating etc is keeping me tip top. just randomly popped a vallie, gonna be a fairly blissful evening :)
 
I'm watching it too. There are some serious cunts out there. I dunno why they mix in a guy who had a 9 bar of charlie pulled out of his asshole in A&E alongside a rapist though. Anyone ever seen anyone they know on there?
 
arghh havin a real headfuck with this iphone4 bizznizz, how do i unlock the sim without jailbreaking it and having to use cydia etc and not have the regular features etc? just want to use me fucking phone, everywhere i look its either an expensive sim card thing or have it jailbroken..anyone help?

If memory serves correctly Treacle works with iphones etc?

Spent all afternoon in the hospital, doing what I've been putting off. I didn't respond to the anti-biotics they gave me, and i've been putting off going back as I knew they'd need to operate.

I go back in the morning to be operated on to remove a pretty bad and very infected abscess. Incision and drain they called it. I've been drawn on with black marker, had to have an X-ray, been poked and prodded, heard myself been talked about as if I wasn't there. It took 15 minutes to find a vein on me they could take blood from,i'm that ruined.

You know what hurts, I've not had one text or contact from friends in Bristol offering me support, I could have really done with it. I'm terrified of being put to sleep.

So, my bag is packed, i'm off to lie down. get cosy and watch films as I just can't take the pain anymore. Being in constant pain is actually so draining. I can't wait until it's gone.

Wish me luck. I really am scared and it's worse doing it on my own.

Thank you. I really hope I can sleep tonight, fingers crossed my buzzer isn't buzzed late, like it usually is. C-Codamol and a hot chocolate has got me ion a nice cosy snugly cloud, and I'm about to watch some trashy TV for escapism, so it should be easy.

Good Luck Cherry, it sounds pretty horrendous, and your 'friends' sound like failures but hope all goes well tomorrow.

God bless the motherfuckin' NHS. The strain it's under contributes to the conveyor belt aspect of it, which can be dehumanising, but I dread to think of what I'd have died of by now if I were an American. Blood loss or sepsis probably.

Cherry, don't worry about it. I have had almost 10 abscesses drained in the last 5 years. They KO you, and you're up and out again the same day or the day after :) The propafol (that they will probably use) is really safe when used in a medical setting, and you will definitely wake up. They are just knocking you out to spare you pain and distress, not because it is necessarily vital! The relief you get from the abscess being drained is AMAZING too. Abscesses are hard to medicate for because of the type of pain they create, and they just escalate. Also, in my experience anti-biotics never get rid of abscesses. If you get another one make them drain it while it's small before it starts causing you pain.

I recommend you ask for some instillagel. It's a topical numbing cream with lidocaine in it, and it was just about the only thing that relieved the pain even slightly.

Please don't stress or worry over this. I know a general anesthetic can be daunting, but it is many times safer than the drugs we use on a near daily basis.

Not on crime watch but you ever seen that UK version called "Cops" or something similar? Its in er south manchester im sure moppy will know, anyway basically 2 mates stumbling home from a night out, decide to take a short cut across a golf course, they get into like some random outhouse in the middle of the golf course and start hot boxing the place, think it was raining out or something, then it shows them getting chased off by some fat coppers on TV who got called there because of a possible "break-in" haha comes on every now and again pretty funny. Copper 1 "Absolute idiots, hes left his wallet here, right on the side".
