Hey, I've been taking hydromorphone for just over 2 years now. I'm averaging 96mg/day, and I'd really like to stop.
At first, I thought I could maybe just take less, or even taper in order to make withdrawal more comfortable, but it's become obvious that I just don't have the willpower to do it.
Looking in my medicine cabinet, I actually seem to have anything I could need to make this easier:
Lyrica and Neurontin
Baclofen
Clonazepam, Oxazepam, and zopiclone
Clonidine
Loperamide
All sorts of NSAIDs
Hydroxyzine
And my favorite, ondansetron/Zofran (though I don't have much left)
(Also tons of dexedrine and some antipsychotics, though I don't see myself using those)
With this kind of toolbox, should I expect to be at all functional, or am I going to need a solid week of doing nothing?
And for the last while, I've been plugging the majority of what I take, and I'm really worried about agonizing cramps as a result - any advice for this?
Also, I have a fair bit of naltrexone somewhere (maybe it's naloxone) - would it be a bad idea to use it to just get the whole thing over with more quickly?
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as well.
