^hell yeah man, I'm just fucking with you about those lyrics, they're good too! Keep it up man. It reminded me a lot of another acoustic duo that I think were called something like "The Dirty Heads"? good stuff.

I appreciate it man, actually the lyrics are pretty nonsensical and silly I just wrote it mainly b/c I liked the melody and needed some lyrics.

Most recent purchase.

I never thought I'd wanna buy a Squier, but this guitar looks and sounds awesome. The pickups are more P90 than Jazzmaster, but I like them.

^Yeah, there's three main Squier Jazzmaster's around atm. Mine is the J Mascis signature, the other two are a blonde and a sunburst version. :)

I never really post in this section, but figured you guys can help me out with a recording question.

I recently started playing my guitar again, and have really gotten into it. I started playing 4 years ago, but lost interest for a year. I enjoy playing, doodling around coming up with some melodies and chord progressions, shit like that. I don't jam with anyone though, never have. I mostly enjoy playing by myself. I want to start recording some things though. I bought a toneport a few years back, it was good for messing around and what not. I don't have an amp, sadly, so the toneport was a nice alternative for me.

I'd like to start recording on my laptop again though. Except this time, I'd like to be able to create beats in programs such as FL Studio, or Fruity Loops, and then use my toneport to add layers of sound over the beats. Kinda like a mix between Ambient and Electronic music, similar to what Tycho does. I haven't even attempted this yet, as I'm still trying to find my USB wire for my toneport, and I gotta redownload Gearbox to use with it, since I'm on a new laptop and lost all my CD's.

I'm just wondering how easy this would be to accomplish. I'd simply like to use my Toneport for it's guitar effects, then connect the program into an audio program to record and add layers to the beats I've created. Anybody have experience doing this? Just trying to find out different methods of doing so.

I've been playing since i was about 10 or 11 so something like 10 years, and I've been writing songs since i was 12.

I've been recording my songs alot recently, you can hear them here

listen to the Paint Dries EP as much of it as you can. im most proud of that little collection of songs. i did all of the instruments, mixing, everything there is me. Hope you guys will take a sec to check it out, and if you do then tell me what you think.

that is really nice youve got some talent. you should get a band together and get some live shows on the go if you havent done it already.

very cool stuff bro, getting tracks to the completed stage is the hardest part, what software did you use for the final mixdown ?

I've been playing guitar for a few years now, mainly acoustic folk/ indie stuff and occasionally some electric noise/punk/experimental/math with friends. I'm currently equipped with an acoustic Taylor and acoustic vintage Gibson. I've done a bit of home recording using Logic Studio but I just got to record a rough mix/ single in an awesome studio here in town and am going back in next month or so to do an EP. I am extremely excited! And, Kronedog, that was badass!
