I'm down to 155 at 6'1" (just shy of, but close enough) when I'm binging, and up to 175lbs when I'm abstaining and working out.

Hey guys :)

My laptop died (um, spilt water on it) so no internet for a while, on a mates at the moment.. is driving me mad and the insurance is such a pain to sort out! So won't be about much for a while.. was worst possible timing too, on a comedown, everything was already too much hassle haha..

Also, just found out my cat died :( not having the best week!! Fortunately had a lot of weed so been mostly stoned..

I have an idea - try getting something w/ loperamide - it's immodium - the stuff for diarrhea - it's an opiate that's doesn't cross the BBB and thus doesn't get you high, but WILL aid some of the physical symptoms. It's not a 100% guarantee, but many people report that it is moderately to completely effective in getting rid of physical WD symptoms. It doesn't affect the mu-opioid receptor in the brain, so there's still some stuff to contend with, but you ought to feel loads better. ~10-20mg per day seems to be the trick. My local pharmacy has 48 packs of 2mg pills for less than ten bucks, but I'm sure this will vary a little from place to place. The pharmacy is a major chain, so who knows.

loperamide DOES cross the BBB... in therapeutic doses, most is exported back across the BBB by p-Glycoprotein. If you take huge doses then enough stays across to produce central effects and agonize mu receptors in the brain.

With a light habit, 10-20mg a day may help some but often people have to take a lot more. It takes a while to kick in but fortunately it lasts a long time so it's useful for once daily dosing.

I had looked into it briefly and that's what I had discerned from my quick research. I'll keep it in mind, thanks.

I was planning to try it during my most recent oxy detox, but I decided to just taper /relapse kinda instead...
 
People repeat the bit about it NOT crossing the BBB constantly both around here and elsewhere so that belief is pretty pervasive.
 
I just breathed a huge sigh of relief when I read Cane's post.

Sometimes I feel like a broken record saying that whenever the subject of loperamide comes up, lmao.

P- I'm thinking about it, but last time I used it. I threw up for days.... I was kicking heroin tho....

Now I'm scared to take it... :(

I read something about drugs and weight. Am I the only mother fucker who gains weight being on heroin ? I'm always eating when I'm not nodding and its gotta be something sugary
 
I only start to get hungry if I'm on suboxone and smoking a bunch of pot. Otherwise I fast for the most part. Drink a lot of water and tea, but that's about it really..
 
I'm taking suboxone now and eat normal. Heroin I ate like a champ. Looking back at my rolling days I never fucking ate. I was 6 foot 140 lbs. I know I looked sickly. I'm at 165 now
