Have watched Religulous a few times in the past and agree that it is quality, think I might even shove it on now while I eat my dinner :)

checked out Religious last night, enjoyed. it definitely strengthened my faith in the lord.

I enjoyed his very blunt & zero respect interviews of the nutters, I also liked the cut of that mexican pastors audacious jib in the tailored suit & bling about being the 2nd coming of the lord. Shockingly that seems to be working out quite well for him.
 
Surprisingly the old school Vatican dudes were the most sane. They were pishing themselves laughing at the thought of bits of the bible being true. The astrologer guy even explained why anyone that tries to back up the science in the bible is clearly a mile out because it was written so long before modern science, so long before we knew a lot of the facts that we know today.

I thought both the Vatican astrologer & the old priest (or whatever) dude he interviewed outside the Vatican were quality. The old boy outside the Vatican was a boss actually, he seemed like some laugh. Didn't give a fuck all at all & was just calling people mental etc.


The people that believe in it "because I just do" are properly scary though. They don't even attempt to rationalise it because they know that they can't. They just "believe". It's like they know deep down that they are wrong but can't admit it to themselves. Sad really.
 
I'm gonna give religulous a go while having a two hour soak in zeee bath

if it's not decent, someone's gonna be owing me 90mins

[edit] seems to be distinctly lacking in Donald Pleasance and not sure it's bath fodder but I'll give it a go
 
Just watched real steel which was not to shaby. Was getting fair emotional at a few bits, damn mdma.
 
Watched 'X-Men Origins' and 'Final Destination 5' over the weekend.
Neither film was particularly brilliant or really bad. Bit of a twist in Final Dest 5 and I suppose it was better than what I thought it was gonna be.
'Blitz' starring Jason Statham is a good action film.
 
That film, Gonzo the life and work of Hunter S Thompson is amazing, so ahead of his time! Almost preferred it to fear & loathing I think.
 
Might check out that gonzo thing now, Still not watched rum diarys yet and that's my favorite HST book
 
do it, definitely worth a watch, loads of footage of hunter that ive not seen on youtube and places,
 
How can you watch Rum Diarys? It's only just out in the cinema, I'm not even sure it is actually out tbh.
