Hey everyone. I don't actually know if this is the best forum for this post so Mod's please move to the appropriate section if not.
I'm an aging conesiour of certain substances when recreationaly appropriate (especially MDMA) and wanted to share some recent disappointment with you all. See if there are others who are experiencing something similar to what I'm experiencing.
I'm in my mid 30's I've been in the game of substances for many many years (around 15) in a variety of ways and on a variety of levels. I have come to develop a real and true appreciation for MDMA. I have an enormous respect for Dr. Alexander Shulgan. I have actually been coming to and using this website for many years. I had another account that would prove this but can't seem to access it. (probably because I haven't used it in so long) It's probably better to be more anonymous (as I am now) anyway so I guess it all worked out for the best. I have realized that I will always have a love and admiration for MDMA and the beautiful experience it can provide myself and my better half.
I have to share with you all a huge frustration however. Maybe you all can identify with me or perhaps it's just me getting older and being a bit of a snob. It seems that the people involved in the "industry" these days are terribly uneducated. I remember way back when as I was trying to decide if I wanted to take a stroll down this journey I did as much research as I could. I read everything available. I literally studied the substances i was interested and this was exponentially compounded when I decided to make a living with it (this was many years ago and I don't do that anymore).
I realize now I have no connections and don't really know anyone anywhere but is it just me or do these people seem even more uneducated than they where back when I was in business? Have things degraded so much over the last 5-10 years? Are people really so uneducated?
If you're going to partake in a substance why on earth would you not want to educate yourself as much as possible? Have people of my generation (and the ones prior) just aged to the point where they're not interested in MDMA the way they used to be? Have they forgotten the magic and bliss it can bring your marriage (or insert other relationship here)?
I'm a bit drunk so please pardon the ramblings but it makes me a bit sad to relate that I have to roll the dice with some 18 y/o punk claiming he's got "triple stack" bla bla's with heroine in them in order to enjoy this magical experience. . . (ok, ok, no i wouldn't even talk to someone who spouted that type of nonsense)
I guess I might just be spoiled because I ALWAYS tested product before retail and knew exactly how much of what was where and I made SURE to be educated on anything offered in the store. I guess it just seems there isn't any professionalism and expertise these days.
I guess we can thank our ridiculous drug laws for ensuring all of us are at risk. I mean god forbid we actually make things legal and safe. . . /rollseyes
/endrant
any other aging lovers and conesiours of MDMA run into similar frustrations? How did you handle it? Have you just given up?
I really wish this beautiful and pure experience could be something my better have and I enjoy for the rest of our lives. . . Sadly the new kids running the industry better step it up and learn or I fear for the future of our enjoyment.
