The dose they make you go down to is 30mg at the clinic and then they make you wait 3 days until you can start Subx. I would say that if you wanna be on the safe side just wait until this evening, I think you should be just fine taking it now but just in case I would wait until 8pm if you can.

Good fortune bro.<3 :D

Thanks, I'm about to do a smallish dose of around 1.5mg now and I hope I won't get precipitated withdrawals, because I've gotten them before from taking Suboxone too shortly after doing Methadone but it only happened back when I did Methadone for at least a week straight and wasn't on Suboxone every day.

^ you on one?
(Translation from hip hop to English lol: is that what you're on?)

I just blew .5mg bupe for my back pain and the pain's gone but i won't get a glowing buzz feeling for about an hour and a half from now.
Was on it for 4 years, so glad i got off and take on as needed basis with a few extras that i have left over.

EDIT: and i also just vaped some b. lotus and wild dagga. Wish i had some weed even though most kinds give me panic attacks lol. Gotta find some good indica i was told.

Does anyone else get really bad chest pains from Suboxone withdrawal or am I the only one? They usually don't start until the second day of withdrawal but by the time I'm four or five days in I literally feel like I'm about to have a panic attack or even a heart attack. I'm hoping it's just the mental aspect of withdrawals causing extreme anxiety and not actual physical damage being caused to my heart.

i don't personally but do know someone who does (from all opiate w/d not just suboxone) and i just give them a few of my clonidine and they are fine.. try getting some, it's very easy to obtain. Hell you might have some in your medicine cabinet lol, go check ha.

Sub actually gets me a little high, so that is not clean. I'm worried about my taper right now. I've been on 100-120mg of oxy a day, then about a week ago was on 4mg sub, tapered, now I'm at around .5-1mg so far today and I kinda feel shitty but not unbearable. I'm thinking about jumping off tomorrow and seeing how shitty I feel. When you do this shit for 10 years, you just can't jump off in a week but I'm going to see how I feel. I'm worried....can someone give some advice on my taper/situation? Will one week on sub result in a long drawn out withdrawal? Thanks for any help....

I've done it before twice and relapsed after nearly a month the first time and after two weeks during the second time. The first time I got down to .5mg a day but I dropped off after like 3 days of it after being on Suboxone for probably about six-to-eight months without having detoxed for the past two years because of Oxycodone addiction.

The physical pain was very low, although not completely absent and my legs got sore on certain days, though all of the time. It wasn't that hard to sleep either, but I always used either pot, benzos, or OTC sleeping pills to fall asleep... so I can't say how much harder it would have been if I hadn't sued anything for sleep. However, the anxiety was extremely present, sweats and chills were definitely there, and I was yawning and sneezing all the time constantly... and this persisted for about 3 weeks while the anxiety still stuck around until I relapsed.

The second time I only got down to 1mg a day and again, the physical pain was really barely there, if you put your mind on something else then you will barely notice it if at all. But again, the anxiety was terrible along with yawns, sneezes, and sweats; the insomnia wasn't that bad, I fell asleep every day just like the first time I attempted to jump off Suboxone. The chills weren't as bad this time mainly because this was some time in the summer while the first time was in December.

I do think you should stay on .5mg's for at least a few weeks and then try to get down to .25mg's and then try even less than that, don't rush because that was my mistake. Now I'm about to try jumping off for hopefully the last time, I really want to succeed because I really am sick and tired of taking Suboxone. I went down from 6mg a day to 4mg to 2mg to 1.5mg and now I'm trying to slowly and steadily go down to 1mg then .5mg then .25mg then .1mg before jumping off.

I feel ya brother. What is the absolute longest I can stay on sub/bupe without avoiding the serious long term sub/bupe withdrawals? I'm hearing 1-2 weeks MAX, maybe up to a month? The thing is I work a nice job, but I do have work obligations as well as some social obligations from time to time. I almost think sucking it up and doing a nasty one week withdrawal would be better for me, but I don't want to take the time off work/family/friends, you know? If I taper down to under .5 a day, how long will the withdrawals be? Could I still go to work/hang out with friends? I'm new to sub, DEF not new to opies though....

Does anybody know the conversion of 0.25 Buprenorphine ampule (original dose of administered) compared to Subutex tablet ? I do know there was also 0.25 sublingual tablets before higher dose formulas were introduced. But what would the conversion be of 0.25 IV (approximate) compared to equal mg's of subutex tablets ?
Thanks

Also it seems that since I've started taking suboxone daily I've been experiencing small myclonic jerks here and there. They are most prevalent when Im drifting off to sleep, is this a common side effect of bupe?

me as well!! I would drift to sleep and my leg would jolt out and i had the twitches when i was awake. I then switched to straight subutex and all good.

Thanks a lot Cap'n, this is very informative and answered all the questions I have. I am not quite in a financially adequate position to invest in all this gear right now. Just took my first shot of bupe ever (have been on maintenance for 6 years on and off) and my usual dose is 16 mg a day. 1 8mg Subutex shot knocked me on my ass though. I am aware of the danger and I think if I am gonna turn this into a habit I will definitely invest in the micron filter gear. I hope to just take the subutex as prescribed. ;) - Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome. :)

8mg in one shot? 8o that's too much, I'd try 1mg at the very most.

bupes

I think 8mg is not a big dose for replacement, I have heard of 16mg used, my friend is on 4mg now (subs for meth) he's watched as his tongue flattens, just in case he saves or gives it to someone else. Does subutex have an anti euphoric in it ? I get the 0.2 temgesic or similar and has a good feel, which helps at the end of day. I take Valdoxan at night which is better than the SSRI's but not great as the day gets to the end. The info on bupes is sparse and generally gets a good press in the meds/prescribing sites, so I'm pleased to find others who know the score, longer term.

8mg isn't a big dose for replacement but, for the IV route, it's way too much.

Subutex and temgesic are just buprenorphine, and inactive ingredients. :)

Dude,i've been sating to my gf that these strips aren't very consistent(I think thats the right word). Some tend to be kinda dry,and cracked somehow.Im thinin because there was a tiny opening in the package or something. The strips do dissolve faster, but i dont feel that they dont work as well as the tabs. The strips can get dry,or get wet somehow and lose potency.I havent shot the subs yet,but I snort them.im getting a 'banger' hopefully in a few weeks or so,And ima try banging suboxone.

Oh,and I call bullshit on ur dropped dosage. Those fukin strips dont have higher bioavailability, and they arent very consistent.

I don't really think the strips have a higher BA either, when i was in the hospital i was given the pills, and when i came out i got the strips and i found that the strips actually seemed to have less affect. However in the hospital i was taking the antibiotic rifampin which i believe may increase absorption rate (like cimetezine).

I also cannot stand how fucking cracked those bullshit strips are. worst is that if they aren't cracked they get stuck to the package and then rip when you peel them off.

When first going to a doc for subs.

When you go to a doctor to get on subs can you go in while your still comfortably on opiates and walk out with a script for subs? Or do you have to be in withdrawls for 24 - 48hrs. and actually ready to take the subs and have the doctor give you the first dose?

I have cold turkied off about 40mg snorted OpanaER per day and at the 24 hour mark it would have probably been dangerous for me to drive myself to the doctor and I definately wouldn't have enjoyed sitting in the office and getting an exam, etc. I think it would be perferable to get the script before entering withdrawls so I just wanted to know if that's possible, or how it usually works. Thanks.

HEY ZNEGATIVE. sorry i didnt know my PM was full. i just emptied it so will u please reply to my message. thanks

I agree that the strips seem to actually be less effective, though I know others who claim the opposite. Strange...

When you all have gotten off of dope, oxy, opana etc. and waited the 24 hrs and got onto suboxone.
About how long did it take you to start feeling better?
Like I get sick, take my sub and sleep for some hours, wake up in half-withdrawl kinda n ride it out for 2-3 days before I start to feel "normal" again...
How long does it take you to start to feel ok again?

And if you were on daily sub, then relapsed for however long you did (please specify if this applies) then got back on subs, was the transition period as intense? Any shorter or longer?

Iv gotten on subs about 3 times this month and used like 2 days after each time :/
Tommorow il hit the 24 hour mark and get back on I just HATE having this transition period :/ scares the shit outta me. It even keeps me using 90% of the time because I dont want to have to sit in withdrawl and feel likee shit for 3 days to get back on suboxone :/

P.s. U guys have any advice for me to help any with the switch? Would be great!
Thanks!! Lites. <3
