The last thing you ate or drank v.3

the sandwich I made for dinner tonight was really random but good. I enjoy trying to make meals out of random things I have in the kitchen, living by myself I rarely have a "full set" of groceries or all the ingredients to make an established recipe. I usually have to make adjustments for the things I'm missing or just get inventive ;)

Two slices of multi grain bread
1 tsbp brummel & brown spread on the bread
1 slice mozzarella cheese

I put these things in a pan and lightly toasted it like grilled cheese, then added...

1 roma tomato sliced thin
1/2 avocado, mashed
2 tbsp chopped red onion
2 tbsp olive and chickpea hummus
salt, pepper, dried rosemary

It was so tasty, I will have to make this again sometime.

^ sounds like a masterpiece...
;-)

i had an avocado, and now my cat and i are sharing a chunk of smoked salmon -
water soon.

oh it was a total masterpiece ;) such in fact, that I had it again tonight.

I love sharing food with cats btw. I'm a total bad parent when it comes to pets, I spoil them rotten!

Hi All,
Last thing I ate was turkey sandwich with whole brown bread and last thing I drink was espresso coffee.
sandwich to maintain wight and coffee to get mentally alert.

^ Yeah, I could go for one of those right about now. %)

Salad: spinach, fennel, pear, onion, toasted brazil nuts, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, & pepper. Mmm...

Frankly I don't think our pets deserve any less than we do, when it comes to food! I don't know why people think it's acceptable to give their pets cheap, industrially processed, canned "pet food", just because they're not people. It would be the same as spooning a can of spam onto your kid's dinner plate every night just because he's too young to know what he's missing, and won't complain.

so true!

I don't feed my pets our food except cooked small cuts of unseasoned chicken, pork, or beef. I don't feed them canned or dry food with by products either. Their dry food is grain free.

^ Yeah, I think the addition of grains is probably one of the biggest problems with processed pet food. It's a totally unnatural addition to a dog or a cat's diet, and their digestive systems just don't know quite how to handle it.

just ate an apple with peanut butter motherfuckers

Same here, mo' fo'!

Sometimes we'll spoil my boyfriend's dog when we are cooking up steak or chicken for dinner, we'll make a tiny little unseasoned one for him. He thinks he's sooooo spoiled, it's great to watch puppy's reaction when he gets his OWN steak on a little plate :D haha

Lunch: Romaine leaves, grilled salmon, capers, beans, sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, and vinaigrette

savory herb rubbed roasted turkey breast w/roasted baby reds, carrots, and onions
apple-walnut stuffing

tis the season for slow cooked or roasted Sunday meals lasting into the work week

A veggie burger haven't ate meat in 6 days. Lol I am thinking about remaining vegetarian the other time I did it, I lasted 6 months.

Polenta, cooked with milk & chicken stock, and parmesan cheese, topped with a homemade green-chile/tomato sauce. Really rich and satisfying.
