On a lighter note, I tried blending some oats into my smoothie! And, guess what? ...I'm still alive! :D It was actually really yummy and highly enjoyable, except for its rather gritty texture which was unavoidable due to the fact that I had to use steel cut oats. But, I have certainly overcome my skepticism of raw oats.
I do like your units of measurement attempty
I just ate a metric fuck ton of braised lamb, with some baked polenta and green beans and it was yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmm!!!!
Polenta's fun. Often I'll cook up a big bowl of it for breakfast, stir in some chopped dates, and plop a couple poached eggs on top. A little salt, and you have yourself a meal.
It's really simple to prepare, in its most basic form. All you do is boil some cornmeal in water for like, 10 minutes.

I make my polenta extra yum, and use milk instead of water... yum... and if I'm feeling a little gourmet and shit, I add some parmesan...
Just made beautiful brunch... 2 poached eggs, with mushrooms, baby spinach and tomatoes cooked with a tiny bit of olive oil, on multigrain toast with avocado (excellent instead of butter!) and a dollop of whole egg mayo on top (my little treat!).
Housemate got lucky and got breakfast made for him too.
