Thanks, I'm pretty worried, this is definitely not standard procedure, and I can only think of two possible things that he wants to say. Either I am fired and he will give me some period of notice, or I have one last chance to prove myself at work and he is giving me a trial period for this chance.

I'm preparing for the worst though, although I wont let it take me down into self destruction any further if I do come back online in a couple of hours unemployed. I will just have to face it and deal with it and move forward anyway.
 
i get the impression firing someone is really difficult, and they have to, for legal reasons, go through a proper process (or they make you redundant and essentially pay you not to sue them for firing you). so, i think you should be ok. but genuinely don't know -where's Sadie when you need her? I know she had a hard time recently, hope she's OK.

I'm still technically in my probationary period, although if he does fire me then I will be seeking advice from the CAB to make sure it wasn't discrimination, as pretty much all of my absences have been covered my doctors notes and the reason of anxiety, which I shouldn't be discriminated against for. Although I cannot remember if I declared that properly on the form when I started, if I didn't then I could be getting fired for not disclosing it from the beginning. It is a tricky one. Just need to hope that it is just a warning from the big boss rather than the usual warnings from the normal boss.

Mugz Im not sure how your employer is going to know that you suffered anxiety before taking the job unless you disclose that to him. He cant look at your med records.

If he said youd told someone you had prior issues then say that that person heard wrong.

If in doubt.. confuse people.... Always been an effective tactic for me.

Mate, don't worry about being fired. It's a bit stressful but if you're fired for time off that's covered by a doctors note then it's just a case of a trip to an employment tribunal, where they'll end up having to pay you for the work you missed as well as reinstate you or pay you off :) My friend was fired for eating rotisserie chicken at Asda, and they had no proof, so they had to give him 2 months pay and put him back on the counter. He got another year of eating free chicken out of them before he moved jobs :D Perhaps you should explain to them that getting on your case is only increasing anxiety? Also, I don't think it's legal for them to ask you in without paying you either, so if you really want to be a cunt you could make them pay you ;)

Lol, the perks of working in supermarkets eh? i remember working in makro, that huge cash n carry place, i would work in the beer and spirits section, top tip for anyone in a similiar position, get yer locker key and puncture a can of beer, stand in front and open yer mouth, drain till empty then turn can around, i got pissed everyday lol ;)
 
on a side note im off to see a mates band tonight but im minus any drugs :( im sure if i wanted to/could be arsed i could hunt some down but i can't really be fucked, enjoying the clear thought patterns of sobriety, but saying that..got the day off and want to get wasted! lol, might have to order in some nos but sat delivery is a pisstake :(
