adderall for migraines ??

although others seem to disagree with this, i have been a migraine sufferer since the age of 10, and also a meth- and opiate addict. i take triptan drugs when i have them, but thought it worth mentioning that meth HAS occasionallty allowed me to make a previously incapacitating migraine manageable. i just take a tiny line, and the amphetamine somehow works to diminish the pain and stop the vomiting. i don't feel good, but at least far better than before the line. since migraines have something to do with the blood vessels in your brain expanding, i sorta thought that stimulants help since they would cause the blood vessels to contract. the same reasoning behind caffeine being an ingredient in many migraine meds.

just my two cents.

Thanku its Gud to hear that it maybe of sum help I'm guna keep on searching and c wat I can find if I come aross anything else I will pass it on
Gud to no that triptans work for alot of u also amazed how helpful bl is I thank u all very much cheers.

Vasoconstriction works to help headaches... and can cause headaches... it really depends on the person when it comes to that stuff.

Adderall can be used as a nasal decongestant.... (the best nasal decongestant in my opinion)

BUT, people won't get Adderall for runny noses, headaches, and such just because it can help with those problems...

Adderall is a schedule II drug in the USA; the most restricted prescription medication level. Refills aren't even allowed.
Schedule I is the only level higher... and it just means 100% illegal for everyone unless you get a government permit because you are some sort of chemist.

Adderall won't be prescribed for little things it can treat, probably because just one the psychological/physical negatives or side effects FAR outweigh the positives.

Despite the fact I haven't thrown up since I was in 5th grade (I was 10 years old)
and despite the fact I just started methamphetamine use (low dose in my opinion)

I do think Methamphetamine, and possibly other amphetamine types, have some sort of anti-emetic effect, migraine or not.
I notice I have zero sense of nausea on this haha

EDIT: If a mod sees this post, don't infract me broham, merge my posts if you must (In my brain-fog I SOMEHOW mixed up "edit post" with "post reply")

Hay there been following ur thread and I agree if the mods want to merge I'm al Gud wif that to merge away :)

Take a percocet....you said you have no injuries so this is one unsolved mystery. I find taking any form of oxycodone before and after acupuncture to help a lot. I still wear a neck brace a lot of the time which sucks cause im 20 -__- / anyhow it seems like you need to turn back to opiates if the alternatives don't work! best of luck i know how debilitating even a minimal migraine can be.

Going to close this now, it seems to have reached the end of any possible solutions to the problem. Go through all of the options with your GP As this is really a medical question and we are not qualified to diagnose you or offer non professional medical advice that could turn out to be wrong for you and injure you or worse, and then we would be blamed.

I hope you manage to fix your problem but I am closing this thread.

If anyone has any problems with my closing of the thread or think that it should be reopened then shoot me a PM

Mugz :)
