Your most HATED (Worthless/Waste of time) Movies (merged)

^^^^^
Who said I was homophobic?? I had an opinion about a movie that belonged on my all time worthless movies list and it deserves it!
You actually expect me to put a movie like that on a pedestal over better movies that actually recieved a higher quality of achievment??
A lot of people in this thread named some movies that I would be proud of to own on DVD, but you don't see me complaining do you???

Since you keep missing the point I will but it in bold all caps:
YOU REFERRED TO A PG13 MOVIE WITH NO SEX & NOT EVEN ONE KISSING SCENE AS "MALE PORNO"
since you KEEP missing the point I'll say it again:
YOU REFERRED TO A PG13 MOVIE WITH NO SEX & NOT EVEN ONE KISSING SCENE AS "MALE PORNO'
Just becasue there are gay characters in a movie doesn't make it pornographic.
The reason I referred to you as a homophobe is becasue YOU REFERRED TO A PG13 MOVIE WITH NO SEX & NOT EVEN ONE KISSING SCENE AS "MALE PORNO"--that & the sentiments of your original post, the one where you said
"Pricilla Queen of the Desert & Lie down with the Dogs - I'm not into queer movies so watching commercialized male porno makes me want to vomit!!"
I won't argue with you about "Lie Down w/ Dogs" (as I said before)it is a really bad film--but tell me, just how did someone who wants to vomit at the sight of "queer movies" end up at a NC17 low budget underground movie that was marketed exclusively to the gay community (unsucessfully) AND has naked guys on the poster AND the video/DVD box? If you're not into "queer movies" what made you go out of your way to watch one? Its not like it played at mainstream theatres like the PG13 rated (& completely non sexual) "Pricilla" did. To see that film you have to have seek it out, you just don't accidentally see it on cable, or pull it off the shelf at Blockbuster.
You didn't just put "Pricilla" & the (awful) "Lie Down w/ Dogs" on your most hated flick list--you went on to use a derrogatory epithet for gays.
Its a free country & you can say whatever you want, but nothing is more pathetic than a rascist or a homophobe or any other type of bigot who makes a statement with bravado & then tries to weasle out of it when called on the carpet. If you hate gays that is your right, & it is your right to proclaim it, just as it is my right to call you on it. I suppose you don't think Trent Lott is a rascist either.

as for my least favourite movies:
baise-moi - god it was horrible. i don't mind violence or sex in a movie if it has some kind of point. things that are there for nothing else but a little shock value are just stupid. pointless, pointless film. it felt like maybe it was going somewhere with a message, but just died in the arse instead.
so fucking what - my flat mate made me watch this, telling me how good it was, but it's probably *the* most horrible film i've ever seen. hardly any story, terrible dialogue, terrible characters, just bad bad bad.
spice world - duh!
freddy got fingered - hmm...i don't mind some of the stuff that tom greene has done, but an entire 'film' full of occasionally funny sketches? nope, that's just abusing the medium.
coyote ugly - can we say cliched and predictable...
and that's all for me :)

~basically any of those stupid teen movies with imbecile gross-out humor
~any movie with Tim Allen is a waste of time
Off the top of my head:
Dude Where's My Car
American Pie
Idle Hands
Bowfinger
Next Friday

hey cydonorb when was tech kinetics saying anything racist?
:p
i really hate that morgan freeman movie where he's in jain with that white guy and the white guy finally escapes at the very end...whats that called? eh whatever it doesn't matter because i hate it because its always on tnn or something and i'm always wasting two hours of my life seeing it again!

That sounds like the Shawshank Redemption and I think it's an excellent film.

Tech Kinetics said NOTHING that was racist & I NEVER accused him of being one. I was simply comparing his homophobic words to Trent Lott's racist words & both his & Lotts lame backtracking.

^^^^
yeah it was a shady tactic....associating his somewhat homophobic words with someone's somewhat racist words to make him seem even more guilty....boo i say! boo!!

Only 3 out of a long loooong list. :)
Crossroads - aside from brittany trying (keyword trying) to act, everything was just too overly tragic.
The PostMan - I couldn't sit through this. It hurt.
Deuces Wild - Possibly the biggest peice of cheese ever. It's about 50s rival gangs.. dueces vs. vipers.

GARBAGE
"Ghost Dog" starring Forest Whittaker (sp)
GARBAGE

most recent worthless movie:
Pluto Nash surprising since i have LOVED all eddie murphy movies

this i smy own opinion ok but pulp fiction is probably my most hated film ever what a pile of poo.
also
jackie brown
the beethoven films
andre
so generally any sickly sweet film involving a cutesy wutesy animal or directed by tarantino.
i have been in many arguments about this but thats the way i think.
and 28 days later i loved btw. wicked film!

i think that all movies by Kevin Smith are full of contrived acting, shitty dialogue, and horrible directing. i'm probably the only one but whatever. I HATE those movies. the only one I could watch again is Dogma.

that's really interesting.
pulp fiction received a huge amount of critical and popular acclaim so one could argue it's hard to describe it as a "bad" movie.
what, in particular, makes you feel this is a "pile of poo" as you put it?

thats why i said that it was my 'opinion' and that it was my most 'hated' film i didnt say that it was a bad film (edit) in the sense that beethoven is a truly bad film (edit) i just really dont like it.
it sounds silly but i dont much like the dialogue in it, i cant stick samuel l. jackson, i'm not a big fan of violent films ( i can put up with it though, but violence never scores points with me), it kind of bored me. thats just my opinion :)

thinkin about it the 'pile of poo' comment was just a throwaway one not meaning too much.
i take that back. i still hate pulp fiction though :)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
While I disagree with you vehemently about "Pulp Fiction" (its one of my faves), I know the feeling of hating a film that everyone else loves. I HATED "Best In Show" & "Waiting For Guffman". I sat stone faced & laughed mabey three times total for both films. For me there were funnier moments in "The Bad Lieutenant" & "Schindlers List"! To me both films are overlong SCTV sketches, made by self satisfied jerks who ridicule easy targets. Gee making fun of Middle America, now THAT'S original...NOT!

thanks for the explanation. i understand and respect your right to hate it. i think it's one of the best movies ever made.
vive la difference :)
