Regional pills/MDMA Discussion: Nae vendor discussion.

The come up used to be much more noticeable for sure. That MDMA was the best I'd had in ages and still didn't have a very intense come up. The UFOs were pretty good like that, and they were a UK synth, which turned the most purple of purple. I've high hopes for the pink nipples based on the fact they look the same.

Good to see a bit of activity and progressive discussion in this thread :)
 
Raving in England isn't as carefree and up for it these days. Too many pretentious wankers on their iPhones, and the tunes aren't as good either, and don't get me started on the pills!

Elrow in Barca, Trouw in Amsterdam and DC10 in Ibiza are as about as close as you'll get, but even they aren't as good as UK in the 90's, high on doves and aciiiiiieed!!!!
 
I believe it's around, just not common. I bet they were fucking gutted about losing that safrole!

Elrow is tremendous! Never thought I would be surprised at a night out ever again in my life before I first went. Epic.

EDM is a pile of shit but we all know that. EDM use to describe Aphex Twin! Now it's used to describe losers such as Tiesto, Axwell, Hardwell.

If you want to experience Techno head to Berlin or Amsterdam. There are many good Techno clubs in both cities. Huge festivals like Awakenings too :)

Trance, hardstyle etc..... and all that shuffling shit is absolutely appalling. If anything is an indication of how shit MDMA is nowadays, this crud music and dancing is it.
 
I was never sick on MDMA, however a lot of my older friends said they didn't like ecstasy for that reason, it made them too hot and/or puke etc and coke was more their drug of choice.
Recently a few of my older mates 45+ (I'm 41) tried Audermars Piguets and Audi grills (supposedly 150mg +) and all reported the effects to be weak. It was kind of embarrassing really!

Younger friends however seem to love it ?!?!? Maybe they've never had decent MDMA, who knows.

Wonder if age has anything to do with it ?
I also react differently to LSD these days. Barely any visuals and my pupils do not dilate on either drugs. In the 90s my pupils were huge !!!

I'm going to take a few months off and then maybe try some Canadian MDMA.
2-cb is my favourite right now, but still is nowhere near as blissful as a 98 mitzubishi.

Finally, I wonder if there are lower dosed copycats (eg 40mg) of most of these Dutch pressies? To fool people who are testing their pills. Let's face it dealers/vendors have cottoned onto the fact that test kits are more readily available and people are using them.
Back in 94-95 there were lower dosed 30mg copycats of playboys for example.

What one did you go to? I went to the Barcelona Sunday one and it was truly amazing, epic as you say. Proper old school style fun and totally raw. And the women.....
 
Aye in Barcelona. At Row14. Not the big Singermorning one, it was just a residents night (Marc Maya, Del la Swing etc) in April a few years ago. Kicked off about 4.30pm and left about 3am. Ladies were tremendous! Brought our own stuff (turtles and a 1/4 of proper) so had a great weekend:)

VERY different night! Honestly think that even if you took one of the no empathy, high dosed NL numbers, you would still feel the love if you went to Elrow!

Saw Marco Carola on the Friday and he was pretty boring tbh:( Elrow more than made up for it on the Sunday%)

I emailed them repeatedly last year to see if they were doing anything Sonar week as we were going but no reply. They'd started doing Ibiza so thought they would just be sticking to that. Went to Sonar Thurs-Sun...and they announced Elrow was on a month before:(Would've cost too much to get everyone's flights changed so just had to miss it.

Might go next year if I get a chance between snowboarding and going to Dekmantel.

Trance has been synonymous with MDMA throughout most of the 90s until now, if anything the decline in MDMA quality has lead to a dire couple of years in the Trance scene in terms of music output.

Not sure why you've grouped Hardstyle and Trance together also, Hardstyle does have some routes in Hard Trance (as well as Hardcore among other things) but they're completely different. Not sure how anyone can call Trance 'shuffling shit'.

The City Life track is killer mate! Check the Andy Duguid track I linked in my previous post, you'll see how I got annoyed at the Hardstyle comparison :D

There's a bit of an overlap with House/Trance/Progressive and you're right it's all been synonymous with MDMA for the last two decades.

Music generally is in a bit of a slump at the moment, you can see find some awesome tunes but it's few and far between. A byproduct of being old I suppose.

It's okay though, when you have tracks like this that are 23 years old you realise how timeless a lot of stuff is:
