Post your favorite drinking songs!!! Strictly alcoholic music here.

These ane my go to drinking not giving a fuck,
One time I hung with Jim ended in the ambulance screaming GG songs to the EMTs
I know I a loser but wouldn't have it any other way

Glad you enjoyed. Of the album's several drinking-related songs, there's one more classic, which I highly recommend if you liked the other one at a'lIll. It's the last track, "Half Price Drinks," about drinkers facing an unhappy happy-hour....

Here's another song that I love, a little darker than the last. It's an East Bay classic and would've fit well in the "punk" thread too, but it's more topical here (even though it's not *just* a drinking song).

Operation Ivy -- "The Crowd" (1989)

Drink drink in the badlands,
Liquid bread for the poor.
Another member of the crowd goes down
To drown at the liquor store.

Damnn Operation Ivy! In my personal triumvirate of punk which is: DK's, Suicide, Op Ivy !

This was my drinking song for approx 3 years.
RESPEKT TO OUR FIRST PEOPLES. INDIGENOUS! //\\

One of many great drinking songs from this doomed honky-tonk legend. RIP Gary Stewart.

I've got this drinkin' thing
To keep from thinkin' things,
Like where you been, who you been with,
And what you've done.

One of my favorite Linda Perry songs. She did what’s up with concrete blonde but so much more solo. She’s an alkie/addict as nd you can’t deny her lyrics and inflection.

Life in a bottle
It feels so comforting
Seems like that's my destiny
Fake what you want
Selective memory
Wrap me up, and set me free

Meet my friend
Held tightly in my hand
Forgetting what I meant to say

Love but to hate
That's just the way it goes
Inch by Inch I sink below

And I love, I love, I love
All my bad company
And I know, I know, I know
that's what's meant to be
So there's nothing let for me to say.

Stoned and demented
Walking through the walls
When I banged my head I slowly fell

Sad but delighted
Swimming in my well
I guess I'm going straight to Hell

And I love, I love, I love
All my bad company
And I know, I know, I know
That's what's meant to be
And I love, I love, I love
All my bad company

So there's nothing let for me to say
No there's nothing let for me to say

And I love, I love, I love
All my bad company
And I know, I know, I know
That's what's meant to be
And I love, I love, I love
All my bad company

So there's nothing let for me to say
No there's nothing let for me to say

This combination musically makes such sense and touches the heart. The fusion of Linda perry and Grace slick is just unbelievable. It’s sadistic and nihilistic as well. It’s deep and dark but so ripe with raw power. Awesome.
