NASA has even stated our solar system is moving, as per galactic orbit, into the galactic equator. The Mayans knew of these cycles, how, who knows, and no one really knows what is going to happen, other than an increase in matter and energy coming into our atmosphere. What will happen, suppose we'll all see.

The only way this movie could be more crappy is if it was starring Nicholas Cage were starring instead of John Cusack. How many times do we have to pay to watch the world being destroyed via CGI? I'll just watch the world being destroyed for free outside my window.

Why does every disaster movie have to have a fucking annoying kid in it?

I hate, hate, hate ridiculous looking CGI and this movie looks like it has a fuck ton of it.

NOT WATCHING.

Also anyone who believes in armageddon and 2012 as an actual theory is a fuckwad. If the Mayans were so brilliantly prescient they would have spent their time foreseeing, and not being stomped out of existence by the Spanish.

^ I have a vivid imagination that can run a little wild at times, so i enjoy these ideas and the movies based around them.

I'm going to wait until it's been about a couple weeks though and go see it at Imax.
Imax is made for these kinds of movies.

Side note, I don't a remember a movie that had a as big a build up as this in a while, I remember previews in the cinemas 12 months ago, teasers everywhere.

Conceptually it sounds like fun. The trailer just shows a bunch of shit cartoony CGI. Crap CGI always makes it hard for me to suspend disbelief and enjoy a movie.
