Dissociatives [DXM Subthread] First Plateau Trips

FYI everyone - I'm in the process of upgrading the Big and Dandy threads by adding a "External Links" section to the first post in each. This section cointains links to important external (not in Bluelight) information about the substance in question. If anyone has any ideas for new links that I haven't put in, please let me know and I'd be glad to add them.

So far the MGS/HBWR/LSA, Salvia, mushrooms, DXM and 2C-B threads have had this added.

Benadryl Dry Forte = DXM ??

Is this a good cough syrup for DXM without other things in it that will fuck me up?

From the box:

Active ingredients: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (15mg/5mL).
ALSO CONTAINS: Saccharin, Sorbates, Sorbitol (14g/40mL)

We are having ~150mg doses to socialise with.

Is it ok to mix with alcohol? I read that too much will make you vomit.

yes it will be fine. dont go overboard with alcohol unless you like projectile vomiting....
 
Ironicly I've heard from one user that beer helped his nausea. Just don't get piss drunk and robo at the same time. Might ruin the experience.
 
alcohole is a WICKED bad mix with DXM. you will seriosuly get way too shitfaced if you drink hard shit and you will seriously vomit and not remember it at all. new years my boyfriend did that and it was gross haha ugh, and it kills your liver.

DXM alone is fine

how fast is the freebase supposed to kick in again?
i parachuted about 650mg of crystals from a previous extraction yesterday and chased it down with a can of cola and it took about 1 hour for the trip to start. Is that normal? Should i try something with more acid to it? Maybe dissolving in Lemon Juice or something?
It's just as fast as the syrup then :|

i love the freebase so much <3 such a smooth and clean trip:)

Thanks for the replies guys.

Didn't have any alcohol but ended up spewing about 2 hours in anyway :)

Dosed at 150mg.. was OK and lasted about 3 hours then tapered town for another 3. But in terms of recreational drugs (not hallucinagenic etc) I think theres a million better things you can take to get high.

Interesting experience anyway :)
 
Also,

I've read a lot about people spewing from the actual cough medicine and the taste and whatever they put in it. The Benadryl Dry Forte was nice butterscotch flavour without any additives. You could actually sip it and say "this tastes nice". No problems at all having shots of it... much easier than vodka or anything. I recommend this brand for anyone who wants DXM.
 
I also reccomend Delsym :) Orangish. But it is polisterix, and extended release, different high. But worth a try, or in combo with hbr.
 
Yes, its normal. Powdered dxm for me, (this is powder from sucrets extraction mind you, but powder nonetheless) takes awhile longer to kick in.
 
I thought this thread was about Benadryl itself. Try that if you get a chance. Try a larger dose next time. As you get up the dose scale you may find it hard to walk, or near impossible. Thats when your in for a crazy time. Im also a fan of Delsym, good stuff.:D
 
Merged this thread in with the Big and Dandy Basic DXM questions thread. Let's please try to keep basic questions about DXM to this thread, so that we mods can more easily search through it later as we compile the comprehensive FAQ. Also, it will reduce forum clutter.
