What is your current supplement regimen and why you use them

those are both really really inexpensive (might have to do with US vs UK prices?)

that's one expensive-ass regimen you have!!

Just out of interest, why do you purchase expensive brand proteins?

The CytoSport whey is like $30 or something for 6lbs at Costco. Hardly expensive. The ON Casein is like $40 and it lasts me a month. I've heard a lot of other Casein proteins don't mix well or taste awful so I'm cool with buying ON.

It's actually not too bad. The Citrulline, ALCAR and AAKG are all under $10 each for slightly more than a month supply as I buy the NutraPlanet generic brand (total it's about the same as buying a proprietary blend pre-workout like N.O. Xplode and I get what I want out of it at the doses I want with no stimulant). The ones I'm trying out now I won't be buying again and I got them both on sale. The MegaMen is like $30 for a 3 month supply. Nordic Naturals is like $14 for a month. I half the dose of the Tri-Flex because I'm young and that makes it $30 for 2 months. The Dopa Mucuna is like $14 for a 45 day supply. I bought the beta-alanine (750g) in November of last year and it is only finally about to run out. The Creatine was like $20 for a 1000g and that was purchased at the same time as the beta-alanine and has yet to run out. The Phenibut was like $20 and that shit will last forever cause I hardly use it. I mean I work out 5 days a week and only buy about a gram of weed a week anymore (my drug buffet days are a thing of the past). I know people who spend more in a month on weed and alcohol than I spend in 3 on supplements and they don't receive any real health benefits.

that's still expensive.as.hell.IMO. I'm completely aware of their values (spent many years in the supplm. industry), i just meant that, collectively, your supplement stack is insane - both the price, and the sheer volume. i wouldn't even take 1/3 of that stuff if it were delivered str8 to my cupboard for free, but to each their own ;P

Yeah that doesn't cost much, I was taking most of that stuff as well for the longest time.. Here was mine:

Daily:
-GNC Mega Men Multi-Vitamin
-Joint Support
-Omega 3
Pre-Workout:
-Citrulline Malate
-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AAKG)
-NOW Beta-Alanine
-Creatine Monohydrate
-l-glutamine
-l-arginine
Protein:
-CytoSport Whey Protein
-ON Casein Protein
before bed:
-zma
-melatonin

Probably costs like 300 bucks per year for all of the stuff except the whey.. whey is going to be the biggest cost at about 8$/lb these days. Really depends how many scoops per day you're eating.

I've been lazy about re-ordering and ran out of everything over the past few months but it's been cool to stop taking everything for awhile and I'm sure I'll appreciate it more when i start again. I'll put in my order today and tell you guys how much it cost.

I'm with you man. I don't see how you can know the values of all the stuff (which I just listed), lift 5 days a week and still find it to be a financial burden unless you are unemployed or working minimum wage (of which I am neither). I will admit the Casein is a bit expensive, but I notice a considerable improvement on my pace of gains when I am using it before bed. Thus, warranting its purchase. Right now I'm on a sort of super stack which came from having some extra cash on hand. A few of the items will be coming off the list as soon as they run out, but hey, the name of the thread is "post your current regimen".

$8 per lb of Protein? So that's £5 for 2.2kg of Protein? That's crazy cheap. It's like £25 for 2.5kg here.

Unless i'm missing something?

<snip>

I don't know if we're allowed to source for workout sups.. seems like it should be fine. You can find 10 lb bags of ON whey for 84$ on there.

I actually get a lot of products for free lately. Anything cytosport (musclemilk) produces I can have for free. Most of it has added sugar though so I still have to buy some things myself to avoid that.

Hate to edit it, but sorry--I've asked the higher ups about this before, and sourcing is sourcing as who knows what could be illegal in another country. - AP

sorry about that - thanks for editing

anyway ON whey is 84$/10lb bag online at multiple sites

what daily supplements do you take

Most multivitamins are barely absorbed. I take life source multiple along with 5grams of fish oil

im pretty sure there is information on here about it...but my liver and kidneys are in pretty bad shape, and i have an ulcer which it dosent help that...but i can have very sevre pains so bad the dr.s thought they were kidney stones, i do have trace amounts of them in my pee but they said it had to be somethin more due to my syptoms..but for the month ive been takin it i think ive only had one severe pain, all the rest i can manage fairly easy(high pain threshold) and the big one i notice is my energy level its more normal now, also my appetite has increased and im holding wieght and muscle better now...sorry im in a hurry or i would elaborate more

about two spoons of vitamineral green mix per day....has tons of concentrated green goodness and probiotics
raw cacao
goji berries (getting more soon)
macca root
1 quart of green smoothie

these are all foods but I consider their incredibly high nutrient content to rival any supplement

They don't.
Why do whole foods not rival a supplement? I'm not trying to be mean or start an argument--I truly don't know the answer, 'cause I've always heard that supplements aren't always the best as it depends on the manufacturer, blah blah blah... Though with foods, it depends on the soil it was grown in, how it was grown, blah blah blah... ...Did I just answer my own question?
