Impending and past purchases to appease the shopping gods

I have an international warranty (whatever that means).

I suppose when I have some spare time I'll call and ask what I'm supposed to do.

I just noticed that this thread is nearly turning into a g-shock thread. Sorry to blow the hype.

Even cars with big long warranties sometimes have issues. That's what the warranty is there for.

The only 2 g shocks I've ever had have not missed a beat and one is over 4 yrs old now I think.

They are a cool watch, and the price isnt too bad on alot of them either. I doubt I will ever need to try another brand.

I use my timer on mine quite a bit and of course the time. Most of the other features I dont use much, but you never know (like the 200m water resistant, I hardly ever go more than 8 feet under water personally.)…besides that one pool that that was probably 20 feet deep or something as it had a high diving board, I still could dive in and touch the bottom tho.

I have decided that the light on mine is next to useless. It doesn't enable me to tell the time, nor does it have luminous hands. I think that a good watch should have luminous hands with perhaps a tiny UV light to make them glow.

^ That is a good pointer when choosing a style. Plus some of the features on some style I just wouldn't use (but I was thinking the other day if one with an altimeter would be cool if you were hiking mountains) I use the stopwatch on mine, and some styles have bigger stop/reset buttons to make them easier to use but I don't use it enough to warrant having that style.

Shame that they aren't cheaper in walk in shops because they probably honour battery warranties or send them away for you. That's what you weigh up every time you buy something online I guess :)

Ha, it's funny you mention that. The light on mine is similar. Pretty much useless.

I think it's just there to showcase the watch.

As much as I'm annoyed about what happen to my un-breakable watch, and the shit light, I still love it and can't wait to have her going again.

the light on my older one (which is now in the box of the one i just got and sitting in the drawer) was starting to become weak, but that was just because it was 4 yrs old or something I think.

THis new one I have the light is pretty bright that's why I wonted to remove that auto on feature when the wrist is turned at a certain angle as it was annoying (thanks klue).

But both of my watches do not have hands they are completely digital.

Also I am wondering how this new one I have will go in the winter as it has the solar battery and they mention in the booklet about how much light or sun it needs to stay charged and when the sun is weak I am wondering how it's going to go and if the light will be so bright then.

Am I civilised yet

Did you get a job in a department store Mum?

Don't know what department store you're shopping at lusty
You coulda said it looks like a DJ's bag, but u missed the chance.

PS herringbone is completely different (this is called houndstooth)

Now that i dont live with my son i want a motorbike. Probably just a little ninja or something while i'm on my Ls but ive been living in Sydney for over a year now and i hate driving here (havnt owned a car while in sydney) so dont like my chances of feeling confident learning here really.

My son said "please dont get a bike mum, i kinda want you alive"

Hmmm :-/

Itching a little bit for a couple of things.

I have been considering a keyring light for a long, long time. I don't like bulky things on keyrings and always thought a mini maglite or led lenser on a keyring would be more of a pain than anything. But I recently saw a youtube video by a bloke that had a Photon Micro light on there (one of millions of youtube videos of reviews what people carry on their keyrings, I like to live on the edge). So Photon Micro lights are made in the US and take a watch battery and they don't seem heavy or that they would get in the way at all.

Here it is. This one is glow in the dark.

Plus, have wanted a Case folding pocket knife for a while and discovered the Peanut. It's three inches closed and I really like miniature gentleman's folders. The handle scales come in a variety of colours like all Case knives. These are American too :)

If you like that knife, you should check this one out... Better than American, this one is Texan.

australians do better knives, havnt you seen crocodile dundee?

Lol, ya know I have never watched the movie. All the people quoting from it just turned me off. Just like star wars, wont watch it either...
I am not one to follow a crowd...

I want to buy a new TV after the nights mescaline trip. My TV is ok, but I have a feeling 60-80 inches of HD would really be fun to get lost in

Just bought a ticket to NZ to learn to hanglide... Get fucken high as a kite without drugs,!!!!!

why to nz to do that? you can do it here and paraglide, they do it off the head land here over the ocean. Looks pretty mad. There's also some dude who brings this thing down the beach with a seat on it and a propeller thing on the back and he cranks it up and flies up and down the beach, he goes pretty high too. Looks sick.

^ $250 bucks for those Camo gshocks that I like poledriver :)
