i don't want to do alcohol or (preferably) other drugs which may cause dependence unless needed to get through the period of withdrawal.
it was fun, but man i want the cravings to go.
Bad news for you.
Cocaine cravings get worse at around 60 days after you stop using.
Think of it this way, you could be trying to quit heroin. And I'm sure quitting cocaine is nothing compared to the hell of heroin withdrawals. So it could be worse!
Now, as for your fear of taking other drugs that cause dependance, you should consider the fact that cocaine is not physically addictive. Rather it's purely a psychological addiction. So really anything you take you stand a chance of developing some sort of depedancy on if it gets you high.
On the other hand, I've always had wonderful success getting off various other drugs by smoking marijuana. I don't like marijuana. I won't smoke marijuana recreational more than once in a blue moon. I can get over my cravings with marijuana then once I don't think about using whatever I'm trying to quit, I just stop smoking pot.
It sounds like you're doing well on your own, though. Especially if you've already cut off your contact from others using coke. Most people don't think to do that. And that's one of the best things you can do. Just remember why you want to quit and you'll be able to do it.
