Esoteric Psychedelic Ideas and Revelations Inaction

We are the universe, but we forgot it at birth. If you go to youtube and search “cosmos star stuff” and choose the first result, or the one titled “Carl Sagan's Cosmos - Star Stuff” you’ll understand what I mean.

We are the universe having a human experience; the universe having the experience of being you, and thus living the chance to experience itself from the unique points of view of each one of us.

Another Psychedelic Revelation” is that it is important to strive to increase the cosmic happiness, and that can be achieve only by increasing our happiness and the happiness of that part of ourselves that we call “the other” or “what is not me”.

The last revelation is about the radical loneliness that we are. We are the universe, meaning “all that exists”, and therefore we can’t have company, as nothing is “not us”. Our only company is “not existence”, or what does not exist, and that’s as lonely as lonely can be.

Luckly, we are able to forget (at least partially) that we are the universe, and in doing so we are able to infuse meaning to our apparently disconnected lives.

^^This is 100% exactly my experience. :) Thanks for posting. <3

The cosmic joke (or perhaps tragedy) is the way that so many people live their lives for the prospect of afterlife, while not realizing that the life they're in right now is the point. Subjective individualized existence is the remedy to the crushing, total isolation that is being "all that exists". Whatever experience you're having, it's better than existing alone in the void. Does it matter if it's an illusion? Does that give it less meaning? Not as I see it. :)

I met this guy with a user name that represents very much what the two of you are saying;) Keep it going

With the amount of people that still call me by it I'm contemplating changing it back ;)

I feel that. I also feel kind of uncomfortable analyzing stuff like this instead of leaving it in the unconscious and living the loving life. :) <3

Analyzation of these concepts can prevent the full living of life, but it doesn't necessarily. To me, it only enhances the beauty of life to understand. :) Although I did go through some difficult years from 18-22 where I was wishing I had just remained ignorant. Since then I've been able to become fully comfortable with it.

I mostly agree with you, but the way I see it, our life as individuals is not an illusion at all. It is ephemeral, yes, but real while it last (as "real" as dreams can be... while you dream them). And definitely richer and more interesting that the life in the void. I believe that one of the reasons for us, as individuals, to exist, is to escape from that void, from the company of nothingness that the Universe has. One of the reasons we, the Universe, divide our consciousness into an infinite amount of beings, is to feel company (though I also think that curiosity, self-love and creativity are a big part of it as well).

For me it was a huge shock to learn this, it was like "I want to know I want to know I WANT TO KNOW" and the BANG! "I don't want to know, ouch, I don't want to know, why do I have to remember THAT? Where is my old life? My old pijamas?" :D

So yeah, that "last revelation" happened the last time swim took a powerful psychedelic (it was San Pedro, actually), and it definitely enhanced my enjoyment of life. As bill Hicks used to say "its just a ride".

It is a bit like when you let death, the certainty of death and the end of all you call "your life", soaked you. It makes everything feels precious, as you understand that it all happens just once.

Not the power to remember, but its very opposite, the power to forget is a necessary condition for our existence
Sholem Asch, “The Nazarene”, 1939.

Yeah, we're saying the same thing, just worded differently. :) That was what I meant when I said "is it an illusion? Does it matter?" Perception is reality. :)

That's the thing about words - they can never fully express an idea. Though some can get close.

It's rare to find someone to articulates the exact same experience I've had... thanks for that. :)

I've been working on essays and poetry that integrate understanding gained from my experiences.

Ideas presented in these works have become a part of my daily life. I share them with others and try and make a difference <3

The Psychedelic Experience by Timothy Leary. if you havent read it i strongly suggest reading it, even if you do not necessarily useee psychedelics. it is based on the tibetan book of the dead-the buddhist "bible"... except a lot more useful in my opinion ;). it focuses on the use of the clear: light...the nothingness, the void, the true serenity of life, the infinite power that all humans CAN obtain. you dont need drugs to experience this enlightenment. you can obtain it through meditation, but most commonly by the use of psychedelic drugs. i think humans need to understand the clear light.. it opens doors to a whole different understanding of life. definitely read this book<3

Whoa i'm going to see Tool in Vancouver today holy shit ! Ride leaves in 4 hours...got some acid and some shrooms to take with me, oh yeah !

Bear with me as this is a relatively new brain child of mine that I am having trouble expressing through words. In my heart I know what I would like to see accomplished through an intelligent thoughtful conversation and then local community action. <3

The idea here is to discuss psychedelic ideas/ revelations/ lessons/ ways of living & thinking that would be beneficial to spread to our local communities and the world population. People who consume psychedelics have in a sense eaten from the tree of knowledge and have a different and unique perspective on the world that surrounds us.

What I would like us to explore is a NON abrasive way of spreading the psychedelic ideas to the community without telling anyone that they are wrong living a self defeating life or that they need to consume psychedelics or any drugs.

Now for the question... what can YOU do in your community to spread that cosmic love and unity that we all know exists within EVERYONE. How do we get people to tap into that positive energy and feed it to the rest of the world?

Ive got a few specific ideas that I will share after getting some creative feed back from the rest of you beautiful people <3 So lets discuss! :)

Also if anyone has a suggestion for how to word this OP a bit more straight to the point I would love any and all suggestions.

You are going to love this. Many of my friends, and myself, are from very very small towns in the country. We grew up around trucks, tractors, farms, overalls, gossip, and closed mindedness. It wasn't all bad, of course, not even most of it.

Anyway, as the children from my era grew up, many of us fled to bigger cities. Over the years we changed and grew in body and mind. For some completely random reason, some of us entered the world of Psytrance (and other electronic) Music. And even more random, none of us did it knowing the others were in to it too. Long story short, we eventually all end up at the same 3 Day Psytrance Festival. The charismatic friend of the group decides he wants to host a 3 Day Open Air Psytrance Festival in the beautiful country side he grew up in - Both for all the friends we have currently, and the expose others who have always lived in those small towns to a world they never imagined existed.

A year later, him and his closest buddies held the festival. It went beyond great - no complications what so ever. Three straight days of non stop music actually happened where no one would ever have expected (Friday night/Saturday morning was all Psy, Saturday day was jam band and 2 hard rock bands, Saturday night/Sunday morning was all different genres of electric music) DJ's came in from all the surrounding states, many of them who played for free just to help grow the community. The ratio of people attending was about 1/3 'ravers', and 2/3 small town, good hearted, people who've never heard of psytrance music or festivals like this.

When the psytrance started at 10PM on Friday night, nearly every one of the attendees, almost without a will of their own, descended to the dance floor. Guys wearing cowboy hats and boots, death metal rockers, big city rave goers, parents, brothers, sisters, strangers, ALL were subconsciously placed on to the same wave length and understanding as each other. It was truly a beautiful dance to see. Can you imagine seeing over 100 festival virgins learning how to dance to psy? =D The great vibes of that whole weekend only grew stronger from that point.

The new atmosphere (or majorly planted seed) of understanding, subconsciousness development, and dancing fun (with UV light devices and massive speakers) has surly impacted several friends of ours. What they do with the thoughts they had at the Festival will ultimately be up to them.

It was a lot of work for the guys who organized the event, but they were more than satisfied. The atmosphere there by 1:00 AM on Saturday morning was equal or better than any Single or 3 day Event I've ever been to. To expose that to an entire community on one way we can spread the PLUR.

^Reading that made me very happy. :)

Sharing live music with others is one of the most basic forms of non-verbal human communication, and our society regards such experiences as frivolous recreation instead of the basic, universal human activity that they truly are.

You can see this blatant disregard for unity in the way we approach music: it's all categorized into different genres, which are then aggressively marketed towards certain demographics. The net result of this activity is that similar people end up crammed next to similar people, all listening to the same music over and over again.

Breaking musical boundaries and warping genres has the net result of bringing people together and promoting mutual-understanding between groups and individuals. This can have a profoundly positive impact on the quality of life for people on this planet. :)

It's really cool, because the values that we "hippies" expound upon are quite similar to the values expounded upon by rural American society: heavy emphasis on unity, togetherness, peace, productivity, enjoyment of nature, etc.

We are all pretty similar when all is said and done, and music is an extremely powerful catalyst for helping us realize this integral facet of our existence. :)

the vision summed up into a moment. I enjoyed this read and only wish....
reminds me of when I had a sheet shipped to my base when I was Army'd and let about 30 'from every walk of life' take the plunge..awkward at times but the unity in the halls of our barracks playing the best of the doors was epic..
