Zyban vs Mdma

5 smokes a day, for 2 years... Should be able to quit that with willpower... But yer, patches LONG before zyban, and even then, low patches. If she got one of those 14mg patches she'd probably hurl :)
3 weeks no smokes for me :) (3 years, 1/2 - 2 packs a day). All willpower, and done mainly for the benefit of others (trying to help my parents quit).
I honestly enjoyed smoking, and I do miss it, but sometimes lifestyle changes can be fun :P
EEEK! Have to edit, I've come across a bit condescending here (not my intention). Good luck with ur attempt to quit dud0r. If you really want it, you can do it :)
Also, I've quit once before (to prove to someone I could quit, did it for 3 months). I used a nicotine inhaler. This is good, cos not only does it give you the nicotine, but it also gives you something to put in ur mouth, which is half the addiction in my case.

Well im really suprised, i was very sceptical at first but i think zyban works, ive been off the smokes and havent even had a single craving for them,i like urself anth smoked 1/2-2 packs a day, depending on how busy i was!! The amazing part is this, i think the habit is going to be quite easy to beat, for example when i get up of a morning, the first thing i always did was lite one up, now when i get up i think about lighting one up, but i dont have the urge to do it, i soon forget that i wanted a cigy and i get on with whatever else i have to do.. there are many times during my day that i think about smoking, however i dont have the urge to smoke one, for once i actually think i can do this...Hey anth thats a fair effort dude, and a fair reason to stop might i add, my main reason for quiting, is the fact i think smoking is a filthy habit, costs an absolute fortune and lastly i realised im young enough to stop taking drugs now. I have had a great 4 years partying and having my fun with drugs, now is the time to wisen up and walk along clean street!!!!!!!

well its been a week ppl and i havent had one cigi let alone a craving, honestly i dont know how zyban works but it does work, and ive had very little or no major side effects, i can actually do this, im amazed...
good luck madmick, im sure u wont need it thouhg man, the drug does all the work for you!!!!!!!

Bad news guys! Stats on Zyban. Whilst Zyban has approximately 80% success rate. This only lasts for the term of the Zyban. After one year 32% are still off ciggies. More than a year? Sorry, only 16% success rate. This is worse than patches. Solution: stay on Zyban and put up with side effects. Problem: Aus Govt will only fund 3 out of every 12 months. The other 9 months you must pay $750.00 (Aus) - even health care card holders. Result: Zyban is now a commodity more expensive than cigarettes.

Re Zyban and MDMA. As far as I know ( have asked doctors, pharmacists etc, E is only a problem for those on Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs such as Zoloft and Prozac). This is because both E and SSRIs mess with the amounts of serotonin you produce. Other anti-depressants do not do this. eg they affect noradrenaline or dopamine amongst others. I may be wrong, but I think E and Zyban are safe (as safe as E could ever be anyway)

thanks for that moi!!! i think when it comes to quiting smokes, it all boils down to the fact that if you want to you will, willpower is nessasery, and i think zyban just assists you in realising that you can stop smoking!!! im a certain i dont want to touch them again!!
