Misc Zopiclone for stimulant comedowns?

I saw another thread on bl: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=421539 but it didn't seem to promising in this respect.

I went to the docs today hoping to get some benzos but to my chagrin it was a new doctor, one I don;t have any rapport with, unlike my other more chilled out doc so I didn't want to prob for benzos. I just told her I was having insomnia and she said she didn't wanna give me anything cos it's habit foming but when I insisted it would be short term she coughed up a prescription for zopiclone.

From other reports ppl are saying that zopi will give hallucinations if used after stims, both on that thread and another one which I read on erowid.

Anyone else used it for a comedown to post their experience with it?

I have 14 tabs so it'd last me a while but if they turn out to be shit for the purpose I wanted them for- comedowns, I'll prob look into GBL.
 
zopiclone is weird. I don't have much experience with it, I actually took it for the 2nd time just last night to help me fall asleep. It feels to me more benzo-like than zolpidem does, and while things do seem a little weird on them, it's not as edgy as I find zolpidem to be. I think you would have to take a good amountof them to come down from a stimulant binge, because last night I was having problems with insomnia because I was using opiates, and even after robaxin and lunesta, it took me hours to fall into a sleep.
 
Hmm, if it's on par with benzos then it should be ok but I'm more worried about the hallucinations that many people have reported on trip reports.

Most of my problem is thinking too much and hallucinations would only exacerbate that I imagine.
 
Maybe try taking a normal dose (it's around 5-7mg or something I think? What mg tabs did you get?) and if it doesn't do the trick and you're worried about the hallucinations that it might cause then have a beer to potentiate the GABA side of things and not whatever it is that causes these mild hallucinations.
But ofcourse - combining CNS depressants can be dangerous if you don't know your limits.

One thing is though that the hallucinations are unlike any other hallucinogenics I've experienced before. They're usually very mild and don't become more prominent when a higher dose is taken.
So you could just take a huge dose which would knock you the fuck out way before any trippiness comes apparent ;)

what are the hallucinations? If it's just fuzziness that would prob help me to sleep but if it's people who are not there + thinking they are (which I read in a couple reports) and having to search the house high and low for fear of intruders then it certainly will not be for me.

Ye I have the 7.5's.

Actually I have been given a course of these before but can't really recall what effects they had but I know they got me to sleep and don't recall any of the said hallucinations although most have said these come when mixed with other stims, which I didn't do at the time.

Well, taking large doses of Benzos and non-Benzos aren't that dangerous ;) But yea it wasn't quite good HR advice lol (sowee)

The hallucinations are sort of like very mild Psilocin hallucinations (without any of the intense feelings of coming up like you get with the more "normal" Psychedelics).
When I was on here once writing a post, the smilies were moving around a tiny bit like they were Helium-filled balloons on string ^_^
And things were a tiny bit wobbly. If you were to lie down and close your eyes though there would be no hallucinations to speak of really :)
And, like I said, if you increase the dose the hallucinations don't become anymore pronounced or intense.

I wouldn't know about mixing Zopiclone with Stimulants, only Diazepam. So yea I guess you should proceed with caution ;)
 
7.5's geez i got a script once and they're 2mg

the hallucinations shouldn't be an issue at normal doses

i haven't hallucinated off zopiclone. probably tolerance to gaba drugs. but if it's anything like zolpidem, i don't think it's comparible in the slightest with psychedelics. i remember i had a pleasant visuals/sensations/concepts&sensations-mixed-up experience one of the first times i took ambien
 
Its not really halucinating unless u take a high dose wanting to trip out. taking one or 2 pills if u just lay down to go to bed ur not gonna notice it, even with higher doses u want if ur layin down in bed so u pass out when they kick in. But if u take them and then stay up sometimes things will move around a little like letters on ur comp screen but definatly nothing intense at all
 
Nah it's not intense in the slightest. That's what I meant by it being slightly akin to a very small dose of Psilocin / Psilocybin but without the mind-fuckery and adrenaline rush that comes with shrooms.

So, again, don't worry - take some, close your eyes and get some sleep (with some possible weird dreams) :)

Damn my Dr. scripted me 15mg off the bat lol
 
My friend used to give me the 7.5s, and I'd take a half pill after doing anywhere between 10 and 80mg of dexedrine/methylphenidate over the day and the stuff would konk me out within 45 minutes. One time I tried to stay awake and had some very mild visual shimmering and whatnot, that was from 9.75mg. All in all it's a good sleeping pill, very friendly and has a benzo-like feeling to it, only real downsides are that you have to sleep at some point since it's so sedating, and the funky taste you get in your mouth before you pass out and sometimes in the morning.
 
Yup, I took one of these after coming down off the 6-apb sample I took last night.

I still had residual stimulation so after wanking a cpl times I got tired of the stimulation and took the zopi.

Took half at first and waited half hour then took another half as I still felt a bit stimmed.

I noticed I actually quite like the metallic taste, only for the reason that it felt that as I tasted it I could feel it soaking into my skin and make me more docile.

Ye no worries on said 'hallucinations'. This worked lovely as I was stimulated before and it ever so gently and lovingly brought me into a nice stupor as I stumbled contently to the toilet for a piss before passing out to sleep from approx 5 am-11am. That is usually unheard of for me after any stimulant!

13 left now. I rarely take drugs so they should last me a while.
 
I always found Zopiclone didn't help me sleep but if i had 3 (I think they were 7.5mgs) I would hallucinate - I vividly remember staring at the wall and it was like watching a tv screen - flying over forests on some distant planet - and strangely enjoyable....this was whilst under the influence of just the above and no other substances.....I experienced this on more than one occasion

The only negative aspect was a slightly unpleasant metallic/chemical taste in my mouth

I would bear in mind thatdifferent subjects show different syptoms to this drug in normal ussage and moreso in its arcane ussages. Type 'Zopiclone trip' into Google for lots of anecdotal evidence.

When used as a downer (and or mixed with alcohol) some people can experience amnesic perioed of intense activity, including driving! Often accommpanied with a sense that there are 'others' in the room a srtong trip might find you conversing with all sorts of inanimate objects, even giving them names. I've been told that at thiws level the trip is disassociate in nature but can't confirm never having had a disassociative.

Be warned, .some people where the stimulant high was still pronounced and the Zopiclone intake6-7x 'nocte' recommended dose very intense hallucinations of an interesting character can emerged - this is not an isolated phenomenen but a genuine part of the 'Trips to Try' LEXICON...should one exist.
 
I'd agree with you Pythagoras that the trippiness is more like a Dissociative than a Psychedelic Hallucinogen.
And yes, my "advice" of taking a small dose with a small amount of Ethanol was a bad idea as the Amnesia can be very pronounced...
I'd take some when yer not coming down from Stims just to see how it effects you ;)
