Zopiclone Dosage

They are OK for sleeping, if you want to just rest then take one and see how that affects you... if that's not enough in half an hour or 45 minutes, take another one.

Taking a few makes things really strange in my experience... I don't like the Z drugs (zopiclone, zolpidem) that much and prefer benzodiazepines.

Cheers...Is Zopiclone similar to Zolpidem then?

The latter is Ambien right?

^ Yep, they are fairly similar. I believe zopiclone has a somewhat lower incidence of strange sleep behaviors though.

And yes, Ambien=zolpidem.

i find half of a 7.5mg pill can usually put me out. I think they are great for sleep, my muscles get all jelly, i feel a huge decrease in anxiety (even more than with valium for some reason) and i fall asleep nicely. If you can get by with half a pill then i'd do that, you'll have twice as much supply and your tolerance won't be as bad.

For some reason I get a very noticble and kind of enjoyable instant onset when I plug zoploclone. I feel like when I lean one way something is pushing me and it kinda leaves you in a twilight zone lol. Best used a bit before bed time though.

And yes I still get that metallic taste the next day from plugging.

Maybe it's just me, but I find that "less is more" with zopiclone.
One 7.5mg tablet to sleep works better for me than taking more to sustain/prolong the effects for "pleasure".
In fact if I stay awake after 45 minutes and redose, then I find it much more difficult to relax. I also feel dissapointed in myself the next day for wasting 3 or more tablets in one night.
Hope this makes sense.

If its the same one I'm thinking of everything will taste like pencil lead for the following day (or did so every time in my experience). Yes even air, and water!

I personally found that zopiclone wasn't all that great for sleep and I found that it had a hangover. Here in Canada, it was the only non-benzo sedative-hypnotic available (if you don't count off-label meds used for sleep like Remeron, Seroquel and Trazodone). Zaleplon was on the market for a little while and I had tried that as well, and it wasn't bad for falling asleep (granted, you had to have an empty stomach for it to work), but it was useless for staying asleep due to its incredibly short half-life. Its main redeeming quality was that if you woke up in the middle of the night, you could take another capsule. Recently, zolpidem has come on the Canadian market as Sublinox. They're 10 mg sublingual tablets, and I've recently been put on it and I find that it works wonderfully. I haven't had any of the strange side-effects associated with zolpidem and I find that I sleep very well with no hangover in the morning. Personally, I prefer temazepam and nitrazepam as hypnotics, except for the fact that nitrazepam has a nasty hangover.
