I am also on 20mg diazepam (I only take 10mg per night now) and 20mg citalopram. I would like to get off both of these as well if I can. But I have no clue how to even start. Tried cutting the Cipralex (ecitalopram) in half but the withdrawals were almost as bad as the zolpidem.
I know I should go to the doctors, but 'my' doctors has since left and I am now on the list of a real bitch female from hell. I don't trust her one iota. Also have some mobility issue right now so cant get there anyhow.
I feel so low, feel like I simply am in a box and MUST take all these pills until I die. I'm not old yet, but over here, (UK) medics are swamped with old people (especially in the town where I live) and anyone over 40 seems to be written off medically.
Just dont know what to do, so any advice would be very much and highly appreciated. Fingers crossed someone can help, I am terrified of trying to do anything myself in case I mess it up horribly.
I know this doesn't immediately help you much at all, but please, please, please try to see a doctor about this, even if you have to change doctor. Neither drug is easy to come off, and you've obviously been prescribed them for a reason anyway, so you risk exacerbating your symptoms through attempting an uncontrolled taper.
