Quick question: A Few people recommended that soon after taking Zolpidem to eat a small piece of chocolate as it will speed up the process to get you sleepy.

An old wives tale ?

ZOLPIDEM (Miss my trip)

I've been using Zolpidem now for nearly 2 years.

And I miss that 5 minute feeling of tripping just after taking the pill. I'm up to 2 pills a night and I never got that feeling back.

Is it because of my high tolerance ? And will switching meds make a difference ?

Was never intended for recreational use.

After years and years of methcatinone abuse, I started suffering from insomnia.

Dr prescript it, and I just come to love that trippy feeling before falling asleep.

As to get of it, no way in hell. Far to late.

Remember zolpidem will get you to sleep but is not very good at keeping you asleep.

Take your recommended dose 15 minutes before getting into bed. I don't see why you should need to speed up the process.

Zolpidem is not intended for long term treatment of insomnia. Better to find the root of the problem and work out why you aren't sleeping well.

Zolpidem is dirty imo.

Why the need for 2 separate threads on the same thing?

Zolpidem has become almost necessary for people like me who need sleep but are relegated to shiftwork. I'd say I only go through about 2-3 10mg pills a week. When I first started them last year, i was going one a night, which quickly built up to a 2-3 pill a night habit. Now i've pared it down to about .5mg a night if I need it at all. But thanks for the link Capt. H, I had read that kind of stuff before.

You can use it therapeutically OR you can use it recreationally - if you try to use it for both you'll quickly lose the ability to enjoy it AND it will lose its therapeutic effectiveness.

It's never too late to get off any drug or medication.

The problem is, and I know this is all mentally, but I really cannot sleep without my pills, even on the days I don't do any other substance.

I will stay awake for 3 days, because I keep telling myself I will not sleep without my pill.
And nothing will change my mind.

I'm already on 3 Zolpidems a night. Now my Dr prescriped Lendormin, which don't work at all.

Eating food can help the pills dissolve but chocolate holds no special powers.

on my bottle for ambien it says to take it on an empty stomach? i've actually noticed it works better on an empty stomach, but I can't take the rest of my night meds like that cos i'll get sick.

^It depends on the a lot of factors not the least of which is what the drug companies who print the bottles are intending the drug to function as.
