Every time I go "pharmacy shopping" I buy Alprazolam, Bromazepam, Clonazepam, etc ; because i know those drugs are awesome for a lot of problems. But sometimes I buy Zolpidem, because many reasons: the molecular structure of fhe drug its really weird. The fact that makes coma status people to achieve a fully conscious state for some hours makes me curious. Because it is used by the US pilots as TEH sleep aid (in contrast to Modafinil), choosing Zolpidem over Temazepam. And because its the only drug that makes me really dizzy without anything else, makes me forget everything, and inhibits me completely. It never puts me to hallucinate, but I feel "out of it" when I take 20mg or more. It also puts me to sleep in a snap if I want.

What are your experiences wih Zolpidem? Can it be taken with Alprazolam to induce even more wasteness?

Thanks in advance.

It still acts on the same receptors as benzos, so if being dizzy and losing your memory is your thing, then zoldipem would be great. I wouldnt combine them though
Maybe BDD willl give you some answers

Zolpidem is useless in my experience. I have taken 20mg and experienced nothing. I didn't even get drowsy. You could combine it with Xanax. I would think those two together would not be any different than two different benzos together.

Can you clarify what you mean by this? And share your source for this statement please?

thanks.

Isn't zolpidem supposed to be foreign Ambien? I haven't had it in awhile. Maybe my memory is shot.

Zolpidem IS Ambien.

From Wikipedia.com:

Uses

Zolpidem is approved for the short-term (usually about two to six weeks) treatment of insomnia, and it has been studied for nightly use up to six months in a single-blind trial published in 1991,[14] an open-label study lasting 180 days published in 1992 (with continued efficacy in patients who had kept taking it as of 180 days after the end of the trial),[15] and in an open-label trial lasting 179 days published in 1993.[16]

The United States Air Force uses zolpidem as a substitute for temazepam, under the trade name Ambien, as "no-go pills" to help pilots sleep after a mission.

Zolpidem is also used off-label to treat restless leg syndrome, and, as is the case with many prescription sedative/hypnotic drugs, it is sometimes used by stimulant users to "come down" after the use of stimulants such as amphetamines (including methamphetamine), cocaine, and MDMA (ecstasy).[17]

Recently, the drug has been reported anecdotally to have positive effects for patients in persistent vegetative state.[9] Results from phase IIa trials are expected in June 2007. The trials are being conducted by Regen Therapeutics of the UK, who have a patent pending on this new use for Zolpidem.[18][19]

A case study performed at the Toulouse University Hospital using PET showed zolpidem repeatably improves brain function and mobility of a patient immobilized by akinetic mutism caused by hypoxia.[20]

^^^ Hey thanks a lot PharmTech, I just wasn't really sure what that sentence meant.

Intereseting about the percocet... Did they give a reason for that, like pain? Or just recreation :)

It required you to be in pain to get them, but you could just say, "I sprained my back moving this weekend. It really hurts." They would just say "OK, well, I'm gonna give you some Percocet for the pain and Valium is a muscle relaxer. Just take it easy for a couple days." Bingo!

Nice!! I wish I could source valium so easily... nothing like a good benzo fuzz

Here you go.

I don't think you can say "way more powerdul", the effects are markedly different in my experience, it depends what you are after. I prefer benzos by a fair way, although zolpidem is interesting every now and then.

Yeah

i never really used it for recreation, but to help me sleep. its great for sleeping, but the few times I tried to stay awake on it I found it to be pretty boring. I find benzos to be alot more relaxing, and you can go about your day alot easier. I can't imagine trying to do anything on ambien.

By the way, do not combine it with xanax. this could be really dangerous and depress your breathing too much or make you unconscious.

Zolpidem is just a generic version of Ambien. My mother use to be prescribed to it. Taking 20mg use to whoop my ass. You just can't eat anything 3 hours before taking it, literally nothing otherwise it won't work IME.
