Zolpidem users/abusers

thnx SNS for the personal advice and others for their input also. Yeh Im sure others are more finely tuned to the different highs from diff drugs like pot/coke/zolpidem (though I have done a fair bit if them) perhaps to coke a lil stretch, whenever I had coke I was drunk also so meh dunno.

perhaps cause Im usually pretty inactive I get a hit from it with small amnt euphoria and strong anxiolytic would explain perhaps why i initially likened it to coke for me :\
 
I use Ambien daily. I have suffered from insomnia/anxiety disorder for about 5 years. I dont understand how but i have managed to get ambien prescribed in the 10mg IR tabs since i first went 5 years ago for help. I am up to 60/10mg tabs a month of ambien. and 120 1mg xanax. I love my ambien most. Especially recently. I have become addicted to snorting it like.....right now. Usually between 20-40mg. I cant get enough... havnt gone a day in 5 years with out at least 2mg xanax and 10-20mg ambien.
 
the burn of a snorted ambien is nothing compared to the taste/feeling in the back of you throat that comes along with railing a Zopiclone 8)

Now do both, come back, and tell me which is worse. I'd snort an ambien any second over a zopiclone
 
I think I read in a thread here that some of zolpidem/zopiclone is expelled from the lungs and that can in zopiclones case make that taste hang around

which reminds me I coughed up a white chunk of stuff, firstly disgusted then I went hm that could be some zolpidem goodness %) but no I didnt 8)

any input on that, I generally just oral dose but have snorted it b4, reckon that was a lump of zolpidem or a metabolised form?
 
Ms. A was a 67-year-old Causasian woman who came to a detoxification unit for zolpidem abuse/dependence. She was previously treated for depression, anxiety, and insomnia, as well as alcohol, barbiturate, and benzodiazepine dependence. Ms. A had been treated for insomnia with oral zolpidem, 10 mg at bedtime, but she said she had increased her dose without the knowledge of her physicians, using up to 100 mg/day (20 mg five times a day) for the last 1.5 years. She alternated this use with various benzodiazepines obtained from multiple physicians when zolpidem was unobtainable.

Ms. A came in for treatment with severe generalized tremor, psychomotor agitation, facial flushing, and anxiety, despite taking 300 mg of chlordiazepoxide in divided doses in the first 24 hours of detoxification. She had persistent symptoms despite treatment with benzodiazepines; a tapering dose of zolpidem was initiated in addition to the tapering dose of chlordiazepoxide. After taking 15 mg of zolpidem, her symptoms completely subsided within 30 minutes. Ms. A took zolpidem, 45 mg over 24 hours in divided doses; it was tapered along with chlordiazepoxide over 5 days.

After reading this stuff, I'm glad I never found the material to have any effect on me, even at 150mg. I'm sure I'd be addicted, like I get to everything else
 
I so knew that physical zolpidem addiction is very terrible

But my nostrils are constantly congested because zolpidem abuse by snorting
 
Madmike, can you calm down a bit, doggy? I don't want to see you hurt yourself anymore. Talk to someone, go to a detox, or something. No one should have to deal with what you're dealing with man. Get some help.

Thanks for cheering me up


I have started to irrigate my nostrils with saline , I do it about twice a week. It helps a lot.

I have also an obsessive habit of nose-picking, until a point of near bleeding (blood in mucus).

I think I should let my nostrils rest for at least a week. I bet this isn't permanent,
I'd still better chill out a bit ,

I would want to be on benzos , but still I want to be in pain. Because it isn't morally right to give relief to a fucking addict (general med. profs. opinion). :(
 
Nasal damage can be permanent. Ever seek therapy? Like sit down and talk therapy. You seem to have some self destructive tendencies that need to be risen in conversation. I care man. Seek help

I used to have frequent nose bleeds when I was younger, not anymore maybe because that obsessive nose-picking, so maybe I have learned how to pick 8) . I am starting to believe that my problems are not caused by me. It is just my personality or something.
I am in therapy, I just can't be open enough to her.

i never realized how addicting / enjoyable zolpidem can be... i have an Rx for 20mg a night in addition to 20mg a day of diazepam. and i went thru #90, 10mg pills in less than a week... no joke. one night i just sat there sniffing a 10mg after another... i think i ended up sniffing 10-15 in one night, and i had to bump some dexmethylphenidate so i could stay awake... and i do not remember anything that happened that night or the next day, but now i know why ppl go to rehab for sleeping pills (eminem went for zolpidem actually). they are WAY more addicting than benzos IMO/IME.
 
^ generic ambien does burn the FUCKING SHIT outta your nose tho... i'm sure i've done serious damage to my sinuses... brand name ambien is a LOT better (once you suck off the coating)
 
fucking burn and nasty taste + drip for up to 24 hours afterwards... What more can you ask for? Maybe something that turns your nose blue, like a dye running out of it or some shit. That would be the most hellish anti-abuse pill i'd ever seen...
 
I never got any effect from this pharm. Multiple trials as well, in doses of up to 150mg per sitting...

150mg of Zolpidem?

How'd you take it? Weird, that just proves once again, that everything is really unpredictable. Sometimes a Immovane knocks me the shit out cold, other times it puts me in a psychedelic state.
