NO! The DAY it expires the medicine turns into a DEADLY POISON that will make you STERILE before KILLING YOU weeks later!
OF COURSE you can take it past the date of expire date - that doesn't mean shit in the case of MOST DRUGS, however, FDA regulations require it, the reality is there are VERY FEW drug that "go bad" after any given length of time...

Do you think when medicines at hospitals such as morphine expire that people just throw them away and let them sit there?
No.
The staff pulls them out and throws a party. At least the people I knew/know working at hospitals did/do.
Keep your drugs at room temperature or slightly less in their airtight bottles out of light and they should be fine for years to come.
