I've never written a trip report before, but I'm in the mood and this just happened yesterday. My mom gave me a bottle of 10 mg Ambien about a week ago and I've done some really stupid shit since then, but this is the most recent experience.
I was sober feelin pretty good, but came across this recent thread about snorting ambien and decided to look into it after reading some of the posts. Googled up ambien nasal bioavailability and found it to be 77.7% in some study which is just a bit higher than what wikipedia had listed for its oral bioavailability.
At this point I thought hey I'm feelin pretty good, but I wanted to chillax a bit and watch my shows (Naruto and Bleach) and then get ready for bed or something (it was about 2am). So anyways I grabbed a plate and crushed up a 10 mg tablet using a lighter and tried to find a pen to snort it with. After a minute of pen searching I managed to find one and to save time just chopped off the back end with scissors and pushed out the tip/ink.
I had read about ambien burning a little when snorted, but I was completely ready for it. Did half of it in one nostril and then switched for some reason. After doing 10 mgs I decided the people complaining about ambien hurting were bitches and started to watch my show.
I'm not really sure when I did the others, but I ended up snorting 4 more within an hour or so after my brother had come into my room to chill. My brother was really drunk on ambien and after a few hours we decided we wanted to robotrip so he sold me 6 pills for 15 bucks. Because that emptied out 2 of his bottles this amount somehow made sense to us at the time and all I had were 10s and 20s so I gave him 2 10s instead and he was supposed to give me 5 back, but we both forgot about it. We then drove to the store to buy another bottle and I gave him a 20 to pay for it because that is all I had. After coming off the ambien he realized he had all of this money of mine so I'm lucky I can trust my brother, but if it was someone else I could have easily gotten scammed out of a bunch of money.
Anyways, ambien makes you do dumb stuff k? Every time I do it I end up on at least two other drugs that I never planned on doing and almost always have to be told about half the night I forgot. Plan ahead of time and don't let yourself have access to your money or expensive/bulk drugs, etc.
Btw I'm writing this after sleeping through my dxm trip cause I was too tired and now having a lovely time with a nice tweak.
