Misc Zolpidem nasal spray?

Ethanol will not help any more than water as zolpidem tartrate is sparingly dissolved in water or alcohol, it needs to be converted from tartrate to HCI. Not easily done at home. But can be dissolved with a little work and time.
 
Cook - I used to snort Sonata & just loved it. Since no one will prescribe Sonata anymore, I've been thinking about crushing some Ambien to snort. I took one 10mg tab just now & filed it down into a mostly fine powder, but there were still some large-ish flakes that were easily crushed. Unfortunately 1 pill doesn't equal a whole lot of the med to snort. I just cut off a plastic straw & inhaled like my life depended on it :) The sting wasn't too bad, I could tolerate it if I could get a better bang as a result for snorting.
So, I have some questions: A) How many 10ml Zolpidem should I snort to get a really good buzz? B) What's the best way to crush the drug so that I don't waste any?
Any help for a newbie would be most appreciated!!:?
 
Barn - When you speak of plugging Ambien, I'm presuming you're just shoving the pill in it's original form in. Am I incorrect? How many 10ml pills do you generally plug at a time to get a really nice buzz? I just got my Rx filled & am looking for some new ways to experiment!
Any helpful suggestions always welcomed =D
 
I don´t know about Ambien but in my country the zolpidem 10mg pills all come with about 90mg lactose monohydrate with them. This means that there´s quite a lot of powder to snort if you intend to do more then 10mg. Usually ill take 10mg orally in empty stomach and after that crush and snort 5 mg more and thats it. Doing more than lets say 15-20 mg is just waste for me at least. It doesnt increase the buzz but instead just add to the unwanted deliriant effects eg. doing bizarre things without realizing it. Couple beers beforehand boosts the buzz quite nicely.

The tablet coating needs to be removed before crushing but the rest of a tablet powders quite nicely. I think trying to snort more than 10 mg is just waste cause it tends to block ur nose and i dont know if it even gets absorbed in massive amounts nasally. Should figure out a way to isolate that lactose monohydrate at least from the powder to snort more efficiently.

I also tried plugging it recently and it was awesome. Although i had done some opiates (bupe & pod tea) earlier the same day that played a part but the euphoria after plugging maybe 20mgs (not sure how much was it) was just really intense.
 
Cook - Yes, Ambien's generic name in U.S. is zolpidem, so the same drug. I've never plugged anything before. How long did it take for you to feel anything? Thanks for the information! :\
 
Well i actually checked that ambien also has round 90mgs of lactose monohydrate in each pill. Guess it doesnt matter but I was just interested of what substances are those pills made of, and seems that all the zolpidem pills all mainly lactose monohydrate, as well as most other pills too i guess.

When plugged it takes about 1 min to feel the effect. Also it seems the most euphoric ROA for zolpidem as I have tried everything else except IV cause i´m not into needles. I would guess the plugging is the closest you can get compared to the IV effect, which i hear is extremely euphoric as well. Of course a lot more hazardous also and never considered doing it though.
 
Are you seriously saying you use Ambien as as suppositories??? Best is dissolve into your lower inside gum using the tip of the tongue to rub it against the gum...breaks down /absorbed into gum where is a large density of blood &it's closer to its target...the old grey matter up top. Wear it down like a cande
