About 2 weeks ago, some friends and I were hanging out (already somewhat drunk), I told them I was about to go take an Ambien, and they said they want to join. So we all orally took one, I dissolved mine sublingually, and the effects set in extremely strong over the next hour or so. To me, everything was great, we were all feeling good, we all got pretty messed up, after about an hour I insufflated another 10mg, hung out more, went to bed, that was it. I woke up the next day only to be informed that I did a bunch of (embarrassing) things I had absolutely no recollection of including removal of my pants.
From a simple 20mg.
We all LOL'd about it, no harm no foul, but it was definitely a shocker to me to find out that it's quite possible I've been doing all sorts of dumb shit while on Ambien, having no recollection of it, simply thinking I just hung out and then went to bed.
Having said that, I had a great experience with zolpidem last night. I drank a hefty glass of kratom at about 8pm, went off to band practice, and got home around 11:30. At about 12pm still feeling somewhat stimulated from the kratom, I crushed up and insufflated one 10mg Ambien and the experience that followed was borderline magic. I decided to hold off on re-dosing and simply see how 10mg treats me.
It was perfect. Apparently, I've dosing way too high, way too fast. Beautiful onset, felt like MDMA! Extremely euphoric and a mushroom-like body high, plus mild visuals. Normally, at this point I'd run and snort another to try and prolong the rush, but this time I decided to just let it do it's thing. To my delight, I continued getting higher until I reached a good point, felt fantastic, opiate-like euphoria pouring over me and visual trailing/distorting. After about an hour or so it started wearing off and calmed down to simple mild visuals. Once I felt like I was completely back down, I went and snorted another 10mg, and from there on the rest opf the night is fuzzy but I'm pretty sure I went to bed not long after. I have complete recollection of the entire night before the second dose and I feel like that one more was overkill.
Woke up today refreshed and feeling fine! Way less irritable than I've been lately as well.
From now on, I'm one and done.
