Is it possible for me to take quadruple the suggested amount from a person who is prescribed it (I am not) and get a happy giddy feeling off of zoloft if I have never tried it before? My friend who was prescribed said he gets giddy if he takes 2 or so when he's only prescribed to take a half at a time.
Also, would it be bad to mix zoloft with large quantities of alcohol?

Yeah, and they have some NASTY side effects with larger, untolerated, first time doses.
Trust me, I've been there :) Vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, diarrhea, confusion - did I mention diarrhea?
Later :)

I know fairnymph will bust my balls over this one, but for "cognita's" (knowing, knowledge) sakes, I'll tell you that SSRIs -have- recreational value. if you're not depressed to begin with, of course. and you have to take a lot, over at least a week or more. It's not that great, but it does work. I have a few friends who tried this out, and I did it myself with effexor. Not a good idea, since the Withdrawals are NOT nice, but I like debunking the "no rec value" myth.

Ok its definatly not a good idea to take any drug every day to get recreational value out of it. Especially a anti-depressant, there made for people who NEED them, bi-polar and manic depressive people (like me). Their not that great for you and the side affects outweigh any benifit they can give a non-depressed person.

I'm contemplating taking maybe 2 50mg bars of Zoloft since I rolled last night to prevent/decrease neurotoxicity. Since I feel kinda down today after my roll, would it make me feel any better?

Zoloft takes weeks before it builds up a useful level in your bloodstream to provide any positive benefits.
You may feel *something*, but it's certainly not going to be recreational.
If you're not prescribed anti-depressants, DO NOT TAKE THEM. They aren't going to make you happy. Period.
