It's a calcium channel blocker man, like all the snail toxins. Not plesant, not recreational. But I'll get the article for you.

Here's the article you asked for and because I'm bored, here's the JAMA trial on refractory pain. Look at the side effects, doesn't look that well tolerated to me.

(Implanting something in my spine sounds like a lot of trouble to go through anyway.)
