Zantac and neurofen plus.

Evening,

What would an appropriate dose of zantac to take before dosing my nurofen plus?
Will it help prevent stomach ulceration from the ibuprofen/nausea?

I've taken at the most before 4000-5000mg of ibuprofen and suffered no problems regarding it, just trying to be safe.

I've never taken zantac beforehand too.

Sorry if this post does not help you at all, but would you mind if i ask if nurofen plus (yeah the one with codeine) it's possible to get it OTC in the UK? Because i've been here only 1 month and i don't know much how things work.

Yeah it is. Has been for ages and probably always will be.

Can someone advise please? I took 150 of zantac before dosing 6400mg of ibuprofen. What else can I do to help my stomach out?

^stop taking such large doses of ibuprofen, its horrible for your stomach.

The daily maximum usage is 1200mg for OTC use, and 400mg per single dose.

that's put me off doing that again. i don't take ibuprofen excessively usually - i was in a state that i needed to fend of withdrawals and in desperation took all that ibuprofen+codeine.

it's usually when it comes down to my desperate states that i consume all that ibuprofen. i'm now starting to worry about my stomach. do you think that it's possible i could have damaged myself from taking that excessive amount of ibuprofen at once?

this is the first time i've taken ibuprofen in about 6-7 months.

i haven't suffered any abdominal problems today. i've just had diarreah (as a result of withdrawals i'm assuming and am taking ammonium)

actually according to http://www.drugs.com/ibuprofen.html it says that the maximum dose a day is 3200mg. i went above that by 3000 but only once...

i guess if it comes down to it again i'll do CWE's instead.
