bluerthanmidnight, I came a thread you'd posted back in February, so I have no idea if you're still curious about Z-drugs (Lunesta/eszopiclone), but I can share my 2 cents if you'd like.
Toz mentioned on the thread that he really likes Imovane (zopiclone). I don't know what the exact differences are between the Canadian-prescribed zopiclone and the American-prescribed eszopiclone, but I imagine they're neighbours, as we are.
Anyway, I'll share my experience with zopiclone: Anxiolytic? Definitely. Nice and relaxed, but i find in a much better way than a benzo-high. I guess I feel more uninhibited too, and a bit closer to 'my true self' on zope. Maybe because of its psychedelic potential? Who knows. In terms of this psychedelic potential.. this is what I've experienced: As Toz mentioned, tripping on zope with the lights off or dim had created some beautiful open and closed eye imagery for me. Open eye I've seen acid-like webs floating dreamlike in the air, and closed eye (maybe at a slightly higher dose) I've seen this crazy cartoon character that seems to dance/transform really intensely. That was certainly a hallucination I'd never experienced before.
Lastly - I find zopiclone gives me, in a strange way, very intense focus. I feel slightly dumber on it, so I wouldn't go read any quantum physics or anything.. but at slighter higher doses (10-20mg) I feel incredibly focused. Whatever I'm doing - drawing, reading, learning stuff on the net.. I find that the rest of the world diminishes and I feel very focused on what I'm doing, which could result in some positive effects. (especially for others of you, like myself, that struggle with ADD.) I'm curious to try mixing zopiclone with ephedrine and see if ephedrine could give me that extra boost to counteract the sedative effects of zopiclone. Wonder what I could accomplish/create?
Hope that wasn't too much info.. or at least that someone finds this post relevant.. haha
