You've got to ask yourself one question, "do I like dreaming?"... Well, do ya, punk?

Recently downloaded hundreds of films in HD for the parents, as satellite TV in Spain is going sometime this year. To bulk it out I basically went on IMDB's top 250 and downloaded all the ones that weren't romantic, animated or subtitled (due to the hassle of the subtitles themselves when pirating, I don't mind subtitled films at all).

Like food, sometimes you'll crave a certain genre of film so keeping a lot at hand is always a good way to go :)

The Shawshank Redemption is a film I can watch again and again. I didnt like it much when i first saw it, but it gets better every time for me. Its gripping every time, I think its Morgan Freeman's narration that does it. Gladiator also stands a few repeat viewings. But generally even films that are mind blowing on first viewing just dont have anything left to offer on repeat viewings.

You tend to find it's the films that aren't mindblowing on first viewing that stand up better to repeated viewing.

Aye, that's kind of my thinking. I'll go looking for something particular to watch, find about 10 other films that I don't want to watch just now but that might be good, one day - so just download them all anyway.

It's like, if I don't download it just now then I'll just forget about it.

I hadnt thought of that. But I know that is very much the case with music. Stuff that takes longer to get into can stand many more listens if you finally do get into it. Noah and The Whale spring to mind, on first listen of their first 2 albums its like 'there's no tunes here' but they grow and grow.

bet you have an interesting collection of porn.

Haha, mate you're fucking spot on. I have a fucking ridiculous amount of porn because I end up applying that exact same theory when I start downloading porn. The never delete things rule generally applies to porn as well so there's fucking loads of rubbish stuff that I'd never watch again. Plenty of good shit an all though ;)

Same goes for my music collection. Like one or two tunes by someone I hadn't heard of before? End up downloading a full discography & never fucking listening to it. iTunes is currently sitting at 22836 tracks (some of which will be DJ sets that are hours long). 74.3 days worth, 164gb. Not a chance have I even listened to a quarter of that. I end up just listening to the same stuff all the time, despite the reasonably large choice.

I think I've watched Titanic about 6 times. 8(

I didn't realise it was unusual to get lots of dreams straight after smoking weed. Huh.

Ended up passing out instead !
I have heard a lot about the stilton thing, will certainly have to give it a try.
Recently I have been so stressed cos of work anyways that basically pass out each night.
Need to start the Qi Gong regime again , Always had really sound sleep when I did Qi Gong.

I've been having very vivid dreams often unnerving and upsetting. I used benzos for three weeks. Apparently benzos suppress REM sleep so when you come off them you get a surge of REM and that's what causes the vivid dreams.

Seriously I wake up tired because it feels like I've been awake all night! Some of the dreams are nice though. Particularly the sexy ones. :D

Interesting what you say about benzos suppressing REM sleep and effecting dreams.

Tell us about your sexy dreams...

I've recently begun taking the good old 5-htp again, and this still works wonders sleeping wise for me. I'm a light sleeper, but on this stuff I slip into proper comas. I also dream loads and seem to be able to remember virtually all of them when I wake up. Good stuff.

Jesus, I thought mine was extensive at 17000 tracks. Just shifted it all on to Google Play.

Film-wise, I don't watch much more than twice. Seen Boondock Saints 1 and 2 more times than I can count though, and The Cat Returns.

Well if we're gonna brag about music libraries, mine's sitting at a cool 26,545. 76 days of solid noise :sus:

Ive recently had to be rebuild my pc after it was hacked / destroyed by a virus for the 2nd time. When i get everything loaded back on to it from my ext HDD drives i think I'll have more tunes than you guys. IIRC i have at least 60 GB of tunes. Its downloading complete anthologies of several artists like Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac for example that does it.

EDIT: Just seen PTCH has 164 GB. "Reasonably large choice" Lol, understatement of the year. I cant beat that. :(

I havent botherd d/l music for a while now. The HD tunes on You Tube are generally much higher quality than downloaded stuff.

There are actually quite a lot of times where people will have memories from childhood that were actually dreams as well.
.

Do you mean they have a kind of false memory syndrome where they had a dream but believe it really happened by some stage of their adulthood?

If so, completely agree. Memory plays odd tricks the older you get, trust me I'm ancient.

As a similar aside, you know that thing where really old people can't remember what they ate five minutes ago but can remember exactly what they were wearing on June 24th 1923 and the whole day in accurate detail etc? I reckon that's often BS too, there's just nobody around to challenge their memory of the facts and we naturally believe their assertions.

I love the mind, interesting little things aren't they?

I lost my full music collection a few years ago as well. Probably ~100gb. Stupidly pulled the power cable out of an external hard drive & fried it. I could have cried.

Youtube clips won't be higher quality than good mp3s.

Well, I can remember exactly what I was wearing the night I met my ex in 1995, but I can't remember what t-shirt I was wearing today before I got changed!
