i stumbled across this vid on youtube:

then i realized... shit, i love poetry. i mean, it easily keeps my attention by being a puzzle; to figure out why it was animated the way it was i have to understand the poem and follow the flow of ideas. i just thought that was hella cool.

anyone know of more clever ones?

That's cool; love the animation! :)

I was actually thinking of starting a similar thread myself, but just haven't got around to it - so thanks for taking the lead, thujone!

I've posted a couple of 'video poems' to my blog. Actually, the first is the music video of a song by The Books, but in my book it's poetry more than anything else:

The second is dark & ominous, with more impressionistic visuals:

As a poet myself, I'm very interested in the possibilities of this medium, and would love to collaborate with filmmakers/artists/musicians/etc to create something in this vein. But it's still an area I'm just beginning to explore, so I'm really keen to see some more examples of similar quality.

Thought this thread should be given a second chance.

So... anyone seen any mind-flexing animated / video poetry?
