Social your thoughts on music piracy

I think Lars Ulrich deserves that diamond plated fish tank and you should feel terrible.

Seriously though if you like an artist go see them live or buy some merch. It's the only way they're gonna make any money these days. More because of Spotify etal than piracy.
I do still go to concerts and shit I just cant afford any more CDs or streaming services

music privacy as in if I have it, it is mine no matter what source it came from. That's music privacy

piracy is great when it comes to mega-rich artists, AAA game studios, etc. where i run into issues is when it comes to smaller artists, indie games, etc. it’s like stealing from walmart vs a local store. don’t exactly condone it but i don’t really have a problem with it. i believe in try before you buy. less relevant to music nowadays due to streaming. but i used to listen to music on youtube or download it and if i really liked it, i’d buy it. same deal with games.

i feel it’s important to support artists you enjoy tho, big or small. part of why i go to a lot of concerts and almost always buy merch. streaming doesn’t pay shit, spotify pays literally like 0.3 cents/stream. i don’t think one should be deprived of art just for being poor but i do think you should support your favorite artists financially if you can.
