Your thoughts on HASH

no no no no has oil is the most fantastic thing ever!!! loverly strong rich stoning smoke like nothing else hash Oil is shurely the crem de la crem of the canabis world.

I'd say 'barely' is putting it a little strong... obviously it can't be barely otherwise you wouldn't get stoned of it. But I do agree that soapbar is the devil's faeces, and refuse to touch it until it's been cleaned.

The problem with this question is that, as many questions about preference, for every 10 people you ask, you'll get 10 answers, all different, but all valid.

Depending on what I'm going to be doing, I prefer a different high from my cannabis. If I'm just chilling on a Sunday, reading a book or whatever... I love a fat hash joint to relax me. Whereas, if I'm doing anything that requires a bit of thinking... northern lights or skunk is the way forward. If I just want to be obliterated... hash oil.
 
I've had hash once..

IMO the smoke tastes a hell of alot better, and was all in all smoother than weed(chlorophyll causes "rough" smoke). The smell was awesome, but i cant say it was anymore preferable than "dank" weed.

I dont like getting heavy stoned on any weed like product, so I made a gram of hash go a long way... Low weed highs feel pretty similar, all in all, however the hash seemed to be more lucid, having body euphoria, but no body hallucinations, and very spacey with visuals(for those of us who get them).

I usually buy hash (not weed)
The smoke is less harsh in my opinion

Last time I simple ate some up, the straight brown stuff, and over an 4 hour period, the high came up, and i was high for a looong time, it was great :)
 
Hash is pretty phat for getting completely lit up. If you have anything important to do I'd stick to a little of the greens though.

Hash is very difficult to get consistently in North America, but in Europe it can sometimes be easier than normal marijuana. High quality hash (bubblehash such as "Ice" etc. or Moroccan) can get you too high to drive with only a hit or two, obviously far more potent than even the dankest of buds.

Overall, I prefer the taste and feel of high quality marijuana, but a nice ball of hash is a special treat every now and again when it floats my way.
 
I like lighter colored tan hash. Black Hash can be great to. Italy has nice hash. Amsterdamns "Polm" hash is good. Jamaican Hash Oil is a drug in itself. Hash is the bomb diggity.
 
And... If your having trouble breaking up your hash to mix with weed or tobacco... heat it up a little... not too much- then break it up. Hot knifing is a good way also... but a nice hash/tobacoo joint is the way to go.

i'd heard horror stories of getting less than 50% of the original weight once cleaned. that is barely any hash for something called hash imo :)

I understand completely what hash is. Yeah, hash is a purified form of weed. But you act like they are two totally differant drugs by their side/effects. Someone said thats due to the varying level of cannabinoids, but this would be just the same as the weed it came from. There isnt just one kind of high for all hash.. it completely depends on the strain it came from. Maybe you just didnt like some strains of weed you tryed, but enjoyed the strain the hash came from? :\

fuck me, that is a horror story... the most I've ever lost after a clean is about 10%. Still disgraceful, but nothing as bad as 50%. Imagine what shite the non-hash 50% is composed of... rockdust, henna, various veg. oils... yuck!!

Regardless of strain, the more fuck-you-up, stoney cannibinoids are reduced when hash is made. That is why it is better IMO.

I SEVERELY hate weed...I have no desire to ever try it again....my ~8 times (all different kinds from different sources) were all shitty.

And there is definitely a substantial difference because I know MANY 'stoners' who strongly prefer weed over hash. And if anyone would be able to tell it would be the stoners...

I have heard people say:

1. Yes.
2. Absolutely
3. Dude got hooked up gratis
4. Said he can't remember as he was instantaniously stoned when the toke was half way out.
5. On a one out of seven leaves scale, he would give it a 7, I think.

How Hash Is Made

How Hash Is Made
Grind plant to fine consitency.
Soak in alcohol.
Strain.
Evaporate alcohol.

How Hash Oil Is Made
Grind plant to fine consistency.
Pack In Tube.
Release pressured butane through one end of tube.
Collect oil from other end.

Just thought this would be helpful for a discussion about the process by which pot is changed into hash, or oil.
 
Jesus Christ! Real hash never comes near any alcohol! Check out www.overgrow.com for the most common methods of hash making, none of them involve solvents.

It's just some sort of sieving (cold water bubblebag sieving is popular these days) to get the trichomes seperated from the plant matter. Then you press the trichome powder (or kief, pollen, whatever they call it where you live) and you have hash.

That is how 99% of the world's hash is made, I never heard of the alcohol method untill I came on bluelight, and I don't recommend it unless you are looking for some sticky black goo, as opposed to a nice block of hashish :)

Oh, and btw the Butane method results in a product more commonly known as "honey oil", because it is clear. I've heard people call the evaporated alcohol goo "hash oil", but now we're into slang which is irrelevant :)

Hash is compacted trichomes as Morrison's Lament has said. The stuff you get from evaporating alcohol is has oil, which is a mixture of the active cannabinoids and all sorts of other stuff, vegetable oils, starches etc... Honey oil is a much purer version of the same thing.
