This is how I ended up on Subs and Ritalin, I couldn't stand spending all my money on Heroin and Adderall or Dexedrine every month because whenever I ran out of money or connections I could barely function.
These days I'm happiest on my maintenance meds although I slip up every now and then.
As a general rule I'd say always have some subs or methadone on hand if you're an opiate addict because there is always those days when things just don't line up or you run out of money. Even where I live where there seems to be an endless supply of H there are always those days when you're fucked.
