Opioids Your opinion on IVing for the first time

okay i understand everyone giving me info and telling me what i was doing wrong and stuff like that. I wasnt getting offended I came to this site to get the answers I needed which not one person gave me, until TommyBoy did. You did finally answer my question missmeyet?. I was only tryin to get my point accross that I didnt need to know all of that just wanted to know exactly what you and TommyBoy told me. (the last paragraph of both of your responses) And btw thanks. & thank you TommyBoy, i didnt know all that... I did go get a needle that day which was a couple months ago.. It just seemed like they felt amazing after doing it... & the way yall are making it sound, it sounds like it pretty much pointless. Guess Ill just stay snorting them because i like the way they make me feel when i snort them. I like the drain too.. I dont want to shoot anything, I just want to get a rush once in a while, which i guess ill have to get by doing something different.. Dont really know what tho... Heroin, I want to try but I cant ever find it. Plus im pretty content with what im doing now, just once in a while would like to actually get a rush and/or nodd of something.. Just dont really know what would give me that without sticking a needle in my arm..

opiates you can shoot that give a rush are

oxymorphone (opana)
hydromorphone (dilaudid)
heroin
morphine

and thats pretty much it.

and you seemed like you were about to IV which is why everyone was giving you advice and harm reduction on IV'ing. this is a harm reduction website after all.

and you should try taking the roxys orally.everyone in my town was hooked on snorting em untill i talked them into trying them orally. you get more of the drug to your brain and they last wayyyy longer. and keep you well much longer.

shooting an opioid just once ruins most lives my best advice is stick to popping the pill but if you feel like you have to shoot it it's not scary you'll feel a little pinch and pull back the plunger and if you see blood hold very steady and inject but i must say again shooting drugs is an awful life and very hard to quit even after just one shot
 
You dont even have both feet in the water and you want to do a belly flop...iv oxy has a rush, but is nothing like dope or even morphine. You said it yourself, you know nothing about iving. Just crush up your pill or half a pill or whatever into some lines get a blank check (bills are dirty) or straw and rack a few lines till you feel good. Shooting pills is a complete mess of filler hard starch and weird color. Shooting blue stuff, all that gunk left in the cooker (which there should be btw, as everyone has said you need zero heat) heat just melts everything into the shot so you end up getting all the shit in your shot along with the good stuff. I would highly reconsider. I cant emphasize that enough.
 
Whoever your friend that's heating up their pills and bragging about the "rush" just sounds like somebody who's still in the phase where they think the whole idea of using needles is "cool"...
I think a lot of people feel that way in the beginning when they're younger. The whole idea of sticking a needle in your arm seems "edgy" or "hardcore", but after the novelty wears off and you're hooked, it just makes you feel like a loser when you have to hide the marks from everyone and you're wearing long-sleeves on ninety degree day.

All the things I used to think and do when I first started shooting up annoy me more than anything now when I hear and see other people doing the same thing...The whole "I want to experience everything just once" thing is another one that makes me roll my eyes. The whole romantic fantasy people have about shooting up just seems so naïve and ridiculous to me, now that I've had over 10 years to see the reality of what it really does to people! Nothing annoys me more than aspiring musicians or writers that think shooting up is gonna turn them into Kurt Cobain or William Burroughs. If you don't have talent in the first place, a needle in your arm is the last thing that's gonna give it to you. Not saying that you think that but I lot of people seem to. Trust me, there's a million other things to see and do in life that are worth experiencing and will leave a lasting impression on you and actually teach you something about life...The only thing needles will teach you about is negativity, desperation and misery...It may feel "cool" the first few times but it turns from cool to pathetic pretty fucking quickly!

I think you got the answer you wanted, the feeling that gets someone who shoots IV a roxy for the first time in his/her life, (excuse me if i'm wrong, i think this is what you mainly wanted to know, and maybe if it deserves the risk..8o)
I don't wanna sound like fuckin preaching, but it's a totally bullshit...and your friends who shoots, they must have told you this, cause they surely know it, and if they are true friends..they must prevent you, fuck, what prevent, a real friend wouldn't let you do it. I'm sorry if i sound strict, cruel, but unfortunatelly, a good friend (who'd have shooted IV roxies before, so should know about it..) would never let you do it, and would tell you the truth about the fuckin needle..:|.Anyway, please don't do it, it's totally wrong, and it can ruin your life, and make you feel so bad, depressed, and sad, as you can't imagine, please, fuckin believe me. I'm not trying to fear you, i just tell you the truth, my "needle experience", i was shooting dope for 12 years (with some off periods, but most time fuckin on..). I managed to leave the needle down, but i'm the exception which confirms the rule, and don't think that i'm so strong, i just replaced this bad habit with an other one, safer, but also bad, cause i don't wanna leave my wife widow and my kids orphans...and i'm sure you don't want this neither..:)

Well, i know i sound like an idiot, but let a probably older one man, (i'm fuckin fucked 38..:)), give you an advice:stick to whatever you are, and do as less as you can do..
And about the roxy orally..a simple tip to hit you harder and earlier...empty stomach, and you crash carefully the pill till you make it fine powder, you put it in the center of a piece of toilet paper (thin), and you cover it, and cut the piece that maybe left over, (i think that some use thin cigarette paper, but i can't speak cause i haven't use it..:?), and you swallow it...It's called parachute, i'm a litl bit surprised if you haven't hear it before, anyway..but for sure, it lasts longer and it's totally better than snort, at least for me, but i'm sure that i'm not the only one..(but always on empty stomach)..Also, some people says that eating smth fat, while they're on oxy, it makes it stronger, but well..the potentiation is an other story...
But the parachute definatelly works, in fact, i always parachute the pills i take, (except some benzos i like take them sublingually..).I think you will like it, with both lortabs and with the roxies..

So, i hope i don't make you tired, i just don't wanted you take the wrong decision and shoot, because i know that it's just a fuckin bullshit, which can ruin your life before you even understand it, yeah, it has destroyed thousand, fuck, rather millions of people, and in fact, it's nothing better, in the case of oxy...nothing in life is over God and your family, i'm sure you know it, and you won't do smth so stupid and bullshit, heh, am i wrong? ;) I think no..:). you say you arent going to be using everyday if you try to shoot up, b ut that is so far from the truth. no one of plan to become daily IV users, but it just happens because IV use is just that addictive. using a needle for the first time was such a huge mistake, i wish i would have never started. once that first time, you wont want to use drugs any other way.

i agree with tommy too about IV oxy is a disappointment, there isnt really a rush, just an instant high. and the high literally lasts 60-90 mins ompared to 4-6hrs. but that doesnt matter that oxy doesnt have a rush or that the high is much shorter, what does matter is that the user gets to use a needle. the act of using a needle is so fucking addictivve that some people shoot up just plain water when they dont have drugs so they can just use a needle.

this is so very true !

i know many people who shoot just water when theyre feinding. kinda sad really.

any drug that can be IV'ed i have IV'ed since the first time i ever shot up.

i do cotton/bag washes allll the time because i just love shooting. but not enough to shoot plain water lol.
 
I had a boyfriend help me shoot up at 15 years old.. heroin. I'm now 33 years old and I still struggle with it. Even tho I keep thinking I'm done and a year or two will go by with no problem then boom, I'm back at it. For the love of God, don't shoot up herion. I was going to just do it once... and then well twice isnt so bad.. neither is 3 times really.. and by the 4th time.. whats the difference. You aren't going to 1 and done. Nobodys ever one an done. If you like shooting up the Oxy.. what will stop you from doing it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time?
 
You can nod from eating them too btw...it just takes longer. Eat 40 mg on an empty stomach if 30mg snorted didn't hit u. Also, although i eat mine...look into plugging oxy. I just read a thread here that had plugging as the best ROA for oxy because it hits you almost as fast as IVing and all at once with the same bioavailability as oral. Search for the "plugging" thread.
 
First time I IV'ed was 3 Roxys. I immediately needed 6 per shot. A week later I was doing heroin. 3 years later spending $200 a day, I can count my friends on one hand and my family has basically disowned me. IV'ing is a blast.
