hey fellow opiate lovers, new here. Just curious to hear what you guys like to Nod out to?

I'm a pretty huge metal head, usually like listening to ambient Black Metal but lately jazz has been my choice of a nod soundtrack..

my usual LP lineup consists of..

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
Weather Report - Mysterious Traveler
Clifford Brown/Max Roach Quintet - At Basin Street
Velvet Cacoon - Genevieve
Chick Corea - Return to Forever
Sunn O))) & Boris - Altar
Lycia - Cold
Vangelis' Blade Runner (all time favorite)

only thing that sucks about LP's is waking up out of a nod and having to get up and flip the disk over haha

When I was doing a lot of heroin I'd find myself listening to Pachabel's canon in D and the music from Metal Gear Solid alot. However I was blissfully unaware of this as, being on the nod, I was lapsing in and out of consciousness repeatedly.

I never found myself listening to music in 'nod' mode. Something just unpleasureable about it, I just liked to ride out the nod in peace. That or I couldn't manage get a hold of music at the moment.

im down with that tv thing.
or if im real fucked up i like to pop in a movie, close my eyes and open em at the closing credits

awesome, you ever heard Fripp & Eno - Evening star?
yes.
y'know how music becomes attached to specific periods of time... another green world was one of those as well as other eno, fripp n eno, fripp, and others they worked with like talking heads.
damn, seems like yesterday but it's decades gone now
