Your most HATED (Worthless/Waste of time) Movies (merged)

Any movie with a rap singer starring in the film. FUCK they should stick to rapping about their wealth, anger, and their want for sex.

The Dish
First Knight (that Heath 'can not act for shite' Ledger movie, in fact just about every movie he has been has been crap)
The fast and the furious
Zoolander
JAWBREAKER - WORST MOVIE EVER!!!!
eXistenz
Independay Day, Pearl Harbour
Freddy Got Fingered
SW Episode 1

+ Every movie I have seen where Adam Sandler is in it has been terrible, with the only minor exception being the Wedding Singer and it only gets saved because I love to laugh at old 80's fashion.

has anyone seen LITTLE MARINES

please please say someone has so they can know of the shitness i talk about!!

'Turn It Up' with Pras and Ja-rule.

This movie is the biggest pile of steaming shit I have ever seen. It was so bad I laughed the whole way through it.

Ja-rule was so shit I genuinely felt embarrassed for him. He has no place in film (or music IMO ;) ).

Pras was also terrible.

The biggest display of terrible two-tone acting you will ever see.

The script was awful, the plot worse. Avoid.

alasdair - yes some people think outside the lines... it is INCREDIBLY close minded to say that because the film has good reviews and is popular that someone's opinion is invalid if they dislike it

i never said anybody's opinion was invalid and i take umbrage at the suggestion that i did. my exact words were:

"that's really interesting.
pulp fiction received a huge amount of critical and popular acclaim so one could argue it's hard to describe it as a "bad" movie.
what, in particular, makes you feel this is a "pile of poo" as you put it?
...
thanks for the explanation. i understand and respect your right to hate it. i think it's one of the best movies ever made.
vive la difference
"

did you miss my writing this? :)

REASON D) the amount of irrelevant dialogue.
it's easy to write dialogue that has nothing to do with any of the characters in the film or any of the plots and slap it in,
but what's the point?
you know what they call a big mac in portugal?
no and I don't give a shit.

one viewer's "irrelevant" is another's "real world".

does every single word of dialoge in a movie have to be specific to a plot point or move the plot forward somehow? i think the answer to that is no.

there are many scenes in the movie - the one you point out in particular - which are simply two characters shooting the shit. exactly as we all do in 'real life'. much of the 'irrelevant' dialogue in pulp fiction fills in the background to some of the characters in a subtle, amusing way.

some of it is just something amusing to listen to while two characters take a car journey to get to their destination. while i understand that doesn't necessarily make it the greatest contribution to screenwriting, i also don't think that automatically makes it worthless, do you?

REASON I) There are SO MANY more films in the world that deserve more recognition than this.
films with emotion, meaning
films that aren't just a bunch of characters and stories and conversations thrown together and put in front of a hollywood "cool" filter
films that, let's face it are GOOD.

that may place pulp fiction in a relative context but that ignores the fact that all art has some absolute merit, worthy of discussion.

The fact that you shoot down someone for having their own opinion is ridiculous

again, i disagree that i shot somebody down. indeed, lucylicious (the original author of the 'pile of poo' comment) didn't feel shot down so i'm not sure why you feel that way.

Quentin Tarantino or Stanley Kubrick?
Quentin Tarantino or Alfred Hitchcock?
Quentin Tarantino or Roman Polanski?
Quentin Tarantino or The Coen Brothers?
Francis Ford Coppola?
Spike Jonze (sp?) ?

i don't think art is a competition. that was my point.

i put it to you that you should go out and look through reviews and come back to me with wether or not the critics agree with you...

i think this point contradicts a lot of what you've written here.

but you seem to think that peoples opinions cannot be completely contrary

that's quite untrue. i also think it's demonstrably untrue - my comments are there for anybody to read. i do not believe this at all.

I know this rant will have no effect on anything or anyone,
but it is my opinion.. and i'm allowed to have it.
and no, i'm not an idiot.
and I know enough about films to make my opinion valid as i'm studying film
im not just trying to make an argument, im trying to get ONE person to look a little deeper at the film and think about it for a second, rather than being wrapped up in it's bows and ribbons

again, i think your comments here contradict a lot of what you've written in this reply.

thanks for your post.

SOLARIS!

This movie was fucking horrible.

Ahhhh! I wish I could have that hour and a half back of my life.

FUCK YOU STEVEN SODERBERGH!!!

It had no hook, so I was total disinterested in it. The only reason I didn't stop watching this movie is I wanted to see if it would redeem itself in the end, but it did not.

The best part was how cool the planet, Solaris, looked. Which was pretty cool, something that Greg Martin would make.

But that did not make up for this awful film.

THE BIGGEST CHIC FLICK OF ALL TIME, AND THE MOVIE THAT ABSOLUTELY WOULDN'T DIE THE HORRIBLE DEATH IT NEED TO
GREASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUCKED, IT SOOOOOOOOOO SUCKED, STOP IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT DOES NOT SUCK!!!
THEN CAME THE SUCKY SOUND TRACK
THEN THE EVEN SUCKIER SEQUEL
THEN THE SUCKY DISCO- SKATING RINK REMIXES
THEN THE 90'S MEGA-SUCKY MEGA REMIXES
THAT MOVIE BLEW, IT WAS A FUCKING MUSICAL FOR CHRIST SAKES:p : 8(
GREASE CAN SUCK ME!

^^^^Wow, little upset by Grease I take it?

And the only comment I have about Pulp Fiction is...
It rocked.

However, worst movie of all time...
"The Beverly Hillbillies Movie"

To this date, the only movie I ever walked out of.

The Attic Expeditions <---- WTF???? Fucking awful, thats what!

Battlefield Earth, I don't think I need to say anything about this movie.

Caddyshack 2, what were they thinking?!

And the worst of all movies:

Coupon: The Movie

Who would make this kind of movie? They should be cast into the burning fires of hell.

I absolutely can't believe, with all the film buffs here, that it took me until page six to find someone mention Caddyshack 2. Worst sequel ever.

Pearl Harbor=Titanic during WWII invasion, and Titanic sucked ass

Lame movies---add your own

.leprachaun in da hood...wait thats pretty obvious
so, really lame movies

Existenz--jude law and jennifer jason leigh are very respectable actors but maybe they should read the scripts themselves before agreeing to make a
movie

Solaris--though an incredibly inventive and highly stylized film the script and story are quite lacking. this horse should have been shot before it finished the race.

movies that are a waste of time to see

i thought cast away was the biggest waste of time i have ever saw. seriously that was the stupidest movie ever no one go rent it
