Your Favourite Quotes and Sayings - MKII

“I'm not against sentimentality. I think you need it. I mean, I don't think you get a true picture of people without it in writing... It's a kind of poetry, it's an emotional poetry, and, to bring it back to the literary scene, I don't think anything is true that doesn't have it, that doesn't have poetry in it.”

Most of them are from other people. I'll leave it there...

Found a tatty notebook / journal the other day with this in it. I'm not ashamed to admit it made me cry:

And a few pages onward:

Both anonymous, both beautiful.

that is a precious find, you should maybe put a website up for those poems and if the author is found I am sure it would mean a lot to them. It is very beautiful. If you are lucky enough to hear the words from someone else's heart, you should think yourself very lucky indeed.

I'm pretty sure that on these occasions, the person they were intended for gained from it. I don't know if the author would want such private words made public, however. It's a tough one.

Sammy, not everyone gives what they have wrote to that person they wrote it in mind for, this could be a way of having it out there and if they find it well you never know. Also if someone loses something so special, I think the second best thing other than the recipient hearing it, would be for someone out there to hear it and have it move them in such a way it gives them hope, or courage or something needed. I don't think it is that tough, besides if the real author got in touch you could always say I can take the site down, I was hoping to find you etc It would be better than never finding the lost something at all.
